For years, organisations have asked people to “fit in.” But the real question we must ask is—why should different ever have to fit a single mould?

Uniform policies, rigid workplaces, and one-size-fits-all systems often miss the richness of human diversity. But the most forward-thinking companies are proving a new truth: difference isn’t a challenge, it’s a design principle.

From Microsoft’s accessible tech to Unilever’s flexible benefits and Tata Steel’s gender-neutral policies, the shift is clear—the future of work is built on multiplicity, not uniformity.

Our upcoming session No One Size Fits All: Building for Difference at Scale explores how leaders, organisations, and products can be designed to truly reflect the diverse world we live in. Together, we’ll uncover what it takes to move from “fitting in” to belonging by design.

Our session on “Power Play: Masculinity, Empathy and a Cultural Reset” examined the shift from compliance to care — from doing the bare minimum out of obligation, to reimagining leadership as a conscious choice to build better.

The dialogue unpacked how outdated binaries — masculine vs. feminine, hard vs. soft skills — no longer hold. Instead, the real test of leadership lies in blending strength with empathy, ambition with care, decisiveness with inclusivity, resilience with humanity.

The cultural reset begins when leaders stop asking “what must we comply with?” and start asking “what culture do we want to shape?”

A big thank you to our speakers Pallavi Pareek, Andrew Reiner, Krusha Sahjwani Malkani, and our moderator Abolee Valsangkar for leading such a layered and thought-provoking conversation.

Our session on “Inclusive by Design: Building Products and Workplaces for the Speech and Hearing Impaired” highlighted that inclusion is not about lowering barriers — it’s about raising imagination.

The discussion emphasized a simple truth: deaf and hard-of-hearing professionals should be seen not for their disability, but for their skills, leadership, and potential. True allyship begins with small, everyday actions — turning on captions, using alt text, enabling sign language in meetings, ensuring contrast in visuals. These aren’t add-ons; they are essentials.

Inclusion isn’t about doing more of the same. It’s about doing things differently — with intent, empathy, and design that places accessibility at the center.

The real question for all of us: where in our organizations can we start tomorrow?

A big thank you to our speakers Rupmani Chhetri, Rahul Gambhir, Chaitanya Kothapalli, and our moderator Kinny Arora for steering such an insightful and actionable conversation.
