“I’m taking legal action against Muhammad Wasim because I’m honestly tired of people trying to prove that I lied about my injury. If someone is accusing me of faking an injury, then they better be ready to prove it. I’m not going to sit quietly while people damage my name and question my honesty.

Let me make one thing very clear — I was genuinely injured. I was not acting, I was not making excuses, and I was not pretending just to avoid playing. People can believe me or not, but I know what happened to my body, and I know the pain I went through.

What annoys me the most is the way some people talk about Pakistani cricketers as if we are always looking for excuses to escape difficult situations. That is simply unfair.

From the beginning, we are taught to respect cricket. I respect this game far too much to make a fake injury drama just to avoid a match or a series. I don’t think Pakistani players need to prove their love for cricket every single time someone makes an accusation against them.

If someone has evidence that I faked my injury, then bring it forward. Don’t sit on the sidelines, make serious allegations, and then expect me to stay silent.

I have no problem answering questions about my performance or my decisions, but accusing me of lying about a serious injury is a completely different matter.

I have stayed quiet long enough. Now, if someone wants to call me a liar, they should be prepared to face the consequences of those accusations.

I don't think players from any other country respect cricket as much as ours do. So, we don't need to pull these stunts with fake injuries
