From the adrenaline of Operation Safed Sagar to the emotional pull of Main Vaapas Aaunga, this month gave us quite a few titles that stayed in our heads even after the credits rolled. And yes, there were definitely a few we went into with zero expectations and ended up loving way more than expected. 👀

🎬 Hanuman Ansh (Theatres)

Hanuman Ansh follows a young boy who loses his mother and sets out on a spiritual journey across India, leaving behind the life he once knew in search of something deeper. The film spends a lot of time with his encounters with saints, meditation and the quiet moments of his transformation before eventually taking his journey into much larger, almost miraculous territory.

I loved how different this felt from the usual big-screen spectacle — it’s slow, spiritual and surprisingly meditative, the kind of movie you watch for the feeling it leaves you with rather than just the story. 🙏

And then there are films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Black, Amaran and The Sky Is Pink that somehow make the simplest human emotions hit a little harder. 🥺

So if you’re in the mood for something that will quietly break your heart, make you miss people, think about life a little differently and maybe shed a few tears you weren’t planning on… save this watchlist.
