Severe Water Shortage Hits Tehran, Residents Wa_rned of Possible Evacuation

Tehran, Iran — The capital faces a critical water crisis, with President Masoud Pershkyan wa_rning that if rainfall does not occur soon, severe shortages may force evac_uation.

Authorities say Tehran’s main reservoirs have only two weeks of water remaining.

The Qatar–Bahrain ferry, which launched on 6 November 2025, now allows non-GCC travellers to board, as updated on the MASAR app.

The passenger-only service connects Al-Ruwais Port in Qatar with Sa’ada Marina in Bahrain, taking approximately 70 minutes each way. Tickets start at 174 QAR for adults, with children under two travelling at half price.

Renewal must occur within 30 days of expiry, with fees set at 5 OMR/year and 20 OMR for replacements.

Meanwhile, the Central Bank of Oman launched Government Development Bonds: Issue 78 (OMR 75M, 7 years, 4.20% coupon) and Issue 79 (OMR 15M, 10 years, 4.35% coupon), open to all investors, tradable on MSX, and usable as loan collateral. Subscription runs Nov 12–18, 2025.
