آج جب پوری دنیا میں عالمی ماحولیاتی دن منایا جارہا ہے جس نے سابق وزیراعظم عمران خان کی ماحولیاتی تحفظ کے گراں قدر اقدامات کی یاد تازہ کردی۔ عمران خان کی قیادت میں پاکستان نے ماحول دوست اقدامات کے ایسے انقلابی منصوبے متعارف کروائے، جنہیں عالمی سطح پر بھرپور پزیرائی ملی۔ بلین ٹری سونامی سے لے کر کلین اینڈ گرین پاکستان جیسے اقدامات نے نہ صرف ملکی ماحولیات کو بہتر بنایا بلکہ پاکستان کو عالمی ماحولیاتی رہنماؤں کی صف میں لا کھڑا کیا۔

مگر آج ملک پر مسلط کردہ جعلی مینڈیٹ یافتہ ٹولے کی نااہلی اور ناقص کارکردگی کے باعث ملک معیشت اور ماحولیات سمیت ہر میدان میں زوال کا شکار ہے۔
