The stories behind David Dhawan’s iconic songs are as funny as his movies! 😂😭

At the trailer launch of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, David Dhawan’s longtime collaborators Sameer and Rumi Jaffrey shared anecdotes of making of their songs. Sameer of hit duo Sameer Anjaan shared that David Dhawan always had a motto that, Situation Gayi Tel Lagane, Give Me a Hit Song. due to which once he gave a song Main Tujhko Utha Laya Tere Ghar Se, Tere Baap Ke Darr Se, for a film where the girl didn’t even have a father! 😭

Rumi Jaffrey also shared that the iconic song, Oonchi Hai Building from Salman Khan’s Judwaa had the lyrics Oonchi Hai Building Lift Teri Band Hai, while the heroine lived in Bunglow where there were no lifts.

Well, it’s been reported that Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur & Pooja Hegde starrer upcoming Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will be David Dhawan’s last film as a Director and these stories makes us think how iconic movies and songs were made by the legend who might say goodbye to Indian Cinema now.

Girish left Bollywood after sometime and is now in a managing position in Tips Films but Varun made sure we remember him and also said that if it wasn’t for Girish, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai wouldn’t be made.

David Dhawan got emotional and cried while comparing Varun Dhawan as an actor and Varun Dhawan as a son at the trailer launch of his movie Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai… 🥺❤️‍🩹

David Dhawan teared up at the trailer launch of his directorial movie which is reportedly his last film and he got candid about his son Varun Dhawan, saying that as an actor he’s great and doing well with each film, but as a son he’s a gem. Daddy Dhawan also took proud and also went on to say, everyone should have a son like Varun.
