Have you visited the Grand Bazaar before?

Do not confuse it with the Spice Bazaar in Eminönü, it is much bigger.

The Grand Bazaar is one of the largest bazaars and the oldest covered bazaars in the world, located in the center of Istanbul.
There are approximately 4,000 shops in the Grand Bazaar, and the total number of employees in these shops is approximately 25,000. It is said that it hosts close to 500,000 people during the busiest times of the day.

In 2014, it was ranked 1st among the most visited tourist attractions in the world with 91,250,000 visitors. The Grand Bazaar is often referred to as the world's first shopping mall.

The year the construction of the Grand Bazaar began, 1460, is accepted as the year the bazaar was founded. The actual grand bazaar was built of wood by Suleiman the Magnificent.
