We are bringing our - drum roll please - ✨manifestation ritual✨ back! This is something I’ve done on my page for the better part of a decade. Every 1st of the month, we head on over to my stories and set an intention for the rest of the month. Tbh, it’s not witchcraft, spirituality or any specific ritualistic thing (not that I have anything against these). It’s just a belief in positive thinking and setting an intention for a future that works in your favour. It could be about health, happiness, heart or hearth. Over the years, interestingly, I’ve found that we all yearn for the same things in life and aren’t very different as human beings after all! 🙃 Personally, for me, it acts like a little prayer to give me the strength to go after my goal of the month. Besides, it’s more fun when we are all in it together. So here’s hoping you stop by my stories and participate. Nonetheless wishing you a fabulous June 🌸🌼🌷 Here’s hoping the second half of 2026 is one of answered dreams!

Happy birthday Daddy, you are so missed! Not a day goes by when I don’t think of you. I’m always imagining what you would say or how you would react to anything and everything. Simone and Sehar will grow up listening to all the legendary stories of their Nana. We celebrate you today on your special day but in one sense we celebrate you every single day through the love we have for each other, the home we open up to our near and dear, the food we are so passionate about, and the care we give to those we call our own. Of all the things I hope to be known as in this lifetime, Manu’s daughter will forever top the list ❤️👧🏻

I am disturbed. Honestly, we should be disturbed.

Dear Sehar and Simone,
It’s not fair how little time I spend writing about you.
I want to write about the sea that swells in my heart when your soft hands tenderly touch my cheeks or how you call out “Maa” as if you were heroines in a 70s movie and what that does to my insides - they turn to jelly because I can’t handle the weight of that word, or how my whole body calms down when you keep your head on my chest and I feel our breathing sync to a rhythmic hum that surely must invoke some God to be right in our midst because if this doesn’t do it, I don’t know what will. Or when you tug at the bottom of my pyjama pants because you can’t reach higher than that yet, or when you want food from my plate because you think it might be better than what we’re feeding you (it’s not), or how privileged I feel when your beady eyes follow me around the room marking my every move, or when you gesture with your tiny fists that I better give you all my attention, or when you use your newly found voice to make your feelings known - overall concern for eardrums or propriety be damned. Or like this very moment when we’re up on the terrace because it’s too hot to be down in the building and we’re looking out for airplanes and crows (two things I def took for granted before you came along) and how precious it all suddenly felt. Like I need to remember it because it’s very, very important and the sudden panic that ensued because I haven’t been writing it all down.
