Ok, text is a bit misleading because I actually just finished this book. I gotta say, I really enjoyed it. It’s a very raw and deeply uncomfortable story of a marriage that ‘fell apart’ rather unceremoniously. It makes you take a good hard look at intimacy, marriage, money, romance - all of it. And for the voyeuristic lens and writing alone, this book was right up my alley. Highly recommend, especially to married women or women who want to be married.
This is indeed what I’m currently watching! I know this show is old news but it didn’t officially release in India until now (it’s on Hotstar) and I hadn’t been bothered with finding how/where to watch it. This story of the alluring JFK Jr and Carolyn Bessette - it’s shot in a way that makes you feel you’re living in that era again. It screams glamour, understated American elegance (yeah I know I had forgotten about it too), uniquely 90s style, and a peek behind curtains we may have never had access to before. PS: A big 🖕🏼you to Hotstar that has ruined the experience for me with incessant ads. But I’m liking the show so much I shall persevere till the end.
