Chimpu Police have promptly arrested a 26-year-old man, Tai John, in connection with the murder of Prabash Doley, a 22-year-old labourer, whose body was discovered near an under-construction building in Saturday Market, Chimpu, on Wednesday night.

Police registered a case after receiving a complaint from the victim's uncle. A police team swiftly responded, recovering Doley's body from a roadside drain. The accused, Tai John, who operates "7 Brothers Car Wash" opposite the crime scene, was apprehended from his residence.

Initial investigations suggest the motive stemmed from an argument over noise generated by construction work. A forensic team has collected crucial evidence, including the suspected weapon and blood-stained items, which have been documented via the eSakshya application. The deceased's body is at R.K. Mission Hospital for post-mortem. Eyewitnesses are cooperating, and a thorough investigation is ongoing.
