विक्रम संवत एक कैलेंडर है जो ईसवी सन् से 57 साल पहले शुरू हुआ था। हिंदुओं और सनातन धर्म की अन्य शाखाओं जैसे बौद्ध, जैन, सिख आदि के त्योहार और उत्सव विक्रम संवत से निर्धारित होते हैं। हिंदुओं की ज्योतिषीय गणना भी विक्रम संवत पर आधारित है, लेकिन आश्चर्य की बात है कि आजादी के बाद विक्रम संवत को भारत का राष्ट्रीय कैलेंडर नहीं बनाया गया, बल्कि शक संवत को अपनाया गया। ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि यह ईसाई कैलेंडर के 78 साल बाद शुरू होता है। विक्रम संवत के इतिहास और उसे नष्ट करने की सेक्युलर कांग्रेस की साजिश पर यह वीडियो देखें।
