20-year-old Naman Pushp bets big on Airbound, bags $10million in funding already

When Lightspeed Venture Partners met Naman Pushp for a possible investment into what he was building, the founder was just 17 years old. He had already turned down an admission to Carnegie Mellon University. He had been building a VTOL prototype since he was 15.

“What we saw during demos blew our minds," said Lightspeed when it announced its first round of investment in Airbound. This Bengaluru-based deep-tech company is building the world’s most advanced and aerodynamic blended wing body tailsitter drones for consumer-grade deliveries worldwide.

Airbound plans to scale manufacturing to daily production rates and refine its systems ahead of a commercial rollout targeting 2026. By solving aerodynamic and material science challenges, it hopes to redefine the economics of last-mile delivery, enabling access to essential goods irrespective of geographic barriers.
