Rental Services- Aside from equipment owned by Frahman Productions and its Associates, we have long standing relationships with the BEST rental houses in India. This affords us priority service and immediate access to the newest equipment available. We are absolutely the right source for a Hollywood (Indian Film Industry)
Permits and Permission
We will provide you with an invitation letter and complete support and advice for your national permit application, and then arrange all the necessary local permits and permissions for your shoot in India. Bureaucracy in India is world famous but we will make the process as painless as possible.
Our production accountant will manage the budget with our production team to make sure that all local taxes, and employee benefits and contributions are paid and accounted for in a transparent and efficient manner.
Equipment Hiring
There is a huge range of camera, lighting, and grip equipment available for film & TV production in India. We have searched the film production centres of Delhi, Mumbai (Bombay), to find suppliers with the most up-to-date and well-maintained equipment. Most film production equipment you would find in your own country is available in India from RED, Arri ST / LT and Panavision film cameras, full range of Arri lighting, Jimmy Jibs, Panther III Dolly, Giraffe Cranes, Techno Cranes, Motion Control rigs, and much much more. And you will be surprised at how reasonable the rates are.
We are very careful to source highly experienced, well presented crew with a professional hard working attitude. As many of the crew as possible, and certainly key senior members of the crew, will speak English to ensure communication is effective. In addition they all speak Hindi and other local regional languages.
Travelling
The quality and efficiency of the travel and accommodation arrangements for your shoot in India will have a large impact on both the budget and success of the whole project. Crew morale can be seriously effected by lousy travel and accommodation. We will find you the best deals possible at suitable hotels and make sure that your transport is efficient, comfortable, punctual, and reliable.
India has a vast range of accommodation options from some of the most famous luxury hotels in the world to basic, clean, business class hotels. We will find an option to suit your budget.
For long distance travel flying is the best option as distances can be vast. You can even consider chartering flights for larger film production crews as it can work out to be cost effective in India. For local production transport we can arrange luxury cars, city cars, four wheel drive jeeps, mini buses, coaches, trucks, pick-ups, trains, helicopters, speed boats, canoes, yachts, cruisers, classic cars, motor bikes, bicycles, and even, camels, horses, and elephants.
Catering
An army marches on it’s stomach, and so does a film crew. Catering is a vital component of any successful film shoot.
We can cater for a variety of tastes with a mixed continental and local menu to keep everyone happy. We have catered for crews of 6 to 260 people in some very remote locations. We ensure ingredients are fresh, prepared properly, and stored hygienically to keep the crew happy and healthy. Our clients have commented that our production catering is some of the best food they have eaten in India!
Set Construction
Indian Art Directors are some of the most dedicated, resourceful, and creative you are likely to find anywhere in the world. Its a bit like working with Mac Gyver or the A-Team. Couple this with a plentiful supply of reasonably priced labour and your set can be built quickly and well within budget. Some of the materials may be different to those you might usually work with but the local teams can fashion pretty much anything you want from them.
India's markets, bazaars, handicraft emporiums, factories, textile manufacturers, and export warehouses are excellent places to source props. You can guarantee your local Art Director will have a few tricks up their sleeve as well.
