Aleyamma Varghese was the wife of Rev. Baby Varghese, founder and senior pastor of the Bible Church of God, and a pioneering Christian missionary in North India.
Aleyamma Varghese actively participated in Christian mission work across North India for 49 years. She was a devoted missionary, prayer warrior, and writer. Serving alongside Rev. Baby Varghese as a fellow worker in ministry, she made valuable contributions to the growth of churches in North India and the spiritual development of believers.
She wrote numerous articles about mission work in North India for various Christian publications. She also rendered notable service by translating many Christian songs and Sunday school books into Hindi and Punjabi. A role model in prayer and spiritual ministry, Eliyamma Varghese was a source of spiritual inspiration to many believers.
She ministered entirely among the Punjabi community and led tens of thousands of people to the faith. She also trained hundreds of people for evangelistic ministry. For many years, she worked actively with her family in the ministries of the Bible Church of God in Amritsar. She leaves behind a remarkable testimony within the Christian community of North India.
