SAIL-Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL) to explore the potential of 5G, IT, and telecom technologies within its facilities, including mines and collieries, Central Coal Supply Organization, and the SAIL Refractory Unit in Jharkhand.

The MoU, signed on 21 April, 2023, positions SAIL-BSL as the first Indian public sector undertaking to initiate a dedicated 5G network, which will be set up in collaboration with TCIL.

The partnership aims to provide innovative solutions for steel manufacturing, as well as in SAIL mines and collieries throughout Jharkhand and smart cities.

GOOGLE, a California-based technology company that has recently shut down its variety of different platforms, is now all set to kill the Google Currents for G-Suite users which was introduced as a replacement for Google Plus in 2019. According to the reports, the company is already in plans to shut down Currents on July 5, with data available for export until August 8, 2023.
Additionally, the tech giant announced in a blog post that Currents will be discontinued in favour of Spaces, a centralised location where users can share files, assign tasks, and maintain connections.

Nokia has introduced a new user interface called Pure UI for its upcoming B2B and enterprise products, but it will not be available on Nokia smartphones produced by HMD Global. According to Nokia's official website, Pure UI features a minimalist design and a distinct appearance that prioritizes ease of use.

The recently announced Nokia Pure UI features a fresh design language. While it won't be implemented on any Nokia smartphones from HMD Global, it will be utilized on all forthcoming Nokia software UI projects.

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮'𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻:-
1. Nearly 13 metres below the riverbed and 33 metres below ground level, the first segment of Kolkata's underwater metro is located.
2. There are four stations in all on this metro system: Esplanade, Mahakaran, Howrah, and Howrah Maidan. It will also take just 45 seconds to complete the entire tunnel.
3. The East-West Metro Corridor of Kolkata includes this 520-metre metro tunnel, which spans the river from Salt Lake Sector V, the city's IT sector, in the east to Howrah Maidan in the west.
4. The route between Howrah and Sealdah, which is almost entirely covered by the Kolkata Metro, will take 40 minutes to complete by rail, as opposed to 1.5 hours by road.
5. As it goes through heavily populated neighbourhoods along Brabourne Road in the Burrabazar neighbourhood, where a number of century-old houses had to relocate their occupants to hotels during subterranean work there, the tunnel's construction from Howrah Maidan to Esplanade had to deal with a number of difficulties.
6. There were several cracks in about 12 structures at Madan Dutta Lane in Bowbazar both this year and the year before.
