SDM and his son died
A tragic landslide in Reasi (Tehsil Thuroo) claimed the lives of SDM Ramnagar, Rajinder Singh Rana (JKAS) and his young son, who both died on the spot. As epr reports, His wife is in critical condition.
They were returning home when their vehicle was struck by a massive landslide.
This is an irreparable loss. Prayers for strength to the bereaved family.
May their souls rest in eternal peace. 🙏

Pahari Rights Forum J&K Constitutes Youth Body, Appoints Surjeet Singh Thakur as State Youth President

Kotranka, 30-07-2025 Pahari Rights Forum J&K (PRFJK) today announced the constitution of its youth body and appointed renowned Pahari and social activist Surjeet Singh Thakur from Kotranka as its State Youth President. The announcement was made at a function held at Dak Banglow Kotranka, attended by prominent members and office bearers of the Forum.

State President of PRFJK, Sajjad Mirza, highlighted the aims and objectives of the Forum, emphasizing the need to work for the welfare and empowerment of the Pahari ethnic group in Jammu and Kashmir. He stressed that the youth body will play a crucial role in promoting the rights and interests of the Pahari community and working towards their socio-economic development.

Surjeet Singh Thakur, in his acceptance speech, pledged to work tirelessly for the welfare of the Pahari community and to promote the objectives of the Forum. He expressed gratitude to the State President and the leadership of PRFJK for entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the youth body.

The newly appointed State Youth President has been authorized to announce the names of other office bearers of the youth body, who will work together to promote the interests of the Pahari community.

The function was attended by prominent members of the Forum, including Ramesh Sharma State General Secretary, Kashmir Singh Sarpanch Chief Patron, Sardar Capt. Mohan Singh Sr.Vice President , Mushtaq Mirza Chief Coordinator. The gathering was marked by a sense of unity and determination to work towards the empowerment of the Pahari community.

PRFJK has been working tirelessly to promote the rights and interests of the Pahari ethnic group in Jammu and Kashmir. राजौरी, जम्मू कश्मीर टीचर्स जॉइंट एक्शन कमेटी (JKTJAC) की ओर से आज श. मंगत चौधरी जी, श. नरेश चौधरी जी और श. सचिन चंदन जी का संगठन में पुनः स्वागत किया गया।

UT अध्यक्ष श. विनोद शर्मा जी ने इन सभी का गर्मजोशी से स्वागत करते हुए कहा, "इनका पुनः जुड़ना न केवल संगठन को यूनियन टेरिटरी स्तर पर बल्कि विशेष रूप से जिला राजौरी में और अधिक सशक्त करेगा।"
