A high-profile VIP liquor party in Surat’s Althan area was busted by the police late Friday night, leading to chaos and a scuffle. According to reports, the son of a prominent businessman, identified as 19-year-old Jainam Shah, allegedly got into a heated argument and manhandled a police sub-inspector during the raid. The party was organized by businessman Samir Shah, where liquor was found stored in cars. Several guests fled as police arrived. Both Samir Shah and another accused, Vraj Shah, were booked under the Gujarat Prohibition Act. Police have also collected blood samples for alcohol testing.
