*SRI BHUBANANANDA SAHU, ORS, ADDITIONAL TAHASILDAR, MANESWAR TAHASIL, DIST- SAMBALPUR NABBED BY ODISHA VIGILANCE WHILE TAKING BRIBE RS 6,000/- FOR CONVERSION OF AGRICULTURAL LAND*. ..............................
Today , Sri Bhubanananda Sahu, ORS, Addl. Tahasildar, Maneswar Tahasil, Dist- Sambalpur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance *while demanding and taking bribe of Rs.6,000/- from a Complainant for conversion of his agricultural land to non-agricultural (homestead) purpose and issuance of ROR in his favour*. Initially, Sri Sahu demanded bribe Rs.10,000/-, however, following negotiation, he reduced the bribe amount to Rs.6,000/-. As Sri Sahu refused to do the work unless the bribe was paid, the complt reported the matter to Vigilance authorities, alleging his harassment by Sri Sahu. Following this, *a team of Odisha Vigilance nabbed Sri Sahu today in his office while taking bribe Rs 6,000/- from the complt. The entire bribe money has been recovered from accused Sri Sahu and seized*.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at 3 locations connected to Sri Sahu from DA angle.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No 09 dated 19.04.2025, U/s 7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against the accused Sri Sahu, Addl Tahasildar. Investigation is in progress. Detailed report follows.
