The inaugural match was played between Pendam Football Academy versus Korenthian Club Pakyong, in which Pendam Football Academy emerged winner by 5-3. Goals.
In the second match today
Pakyong United Sporting Club defeated Parakha Sporting club by 3-1 goals.
Total ten clubs from Pakyong District have participated in the Pakyong District league. The top two teams will qualify for next state level knockout tournament.
Similar type of football league kickoff today in all other districts of Sikkim.

Cow Distribution at Namcheybong Constituency

Pakyong, July 14 (IPR): Under the initiative of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim- Shri Prem Singh Tamang, the Area MLA Namcheypong- Shri Em Prasad Sharma distributed milching cows in coordination with A.H & V.S Department, Pakyong District, at Ahopul Kishan Govt Secondary School, Pakyong District today.
The programme is funded through a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by Teesta Urja Limited.
A total number of 14 families from Namchaybong constituency received 1 milching cow and a calf with 1 year cattle insurance. The beneficiaries also received 10 litre milking can, 2 bags of feed and 5 kg mineral mixture each.
Whole blood & serum samples were collected for any haemoprotozoan infection & disease identification and have been sent to the Disease Investigation Cell, Gangtok.
Inorder to have fair distribution of cow, a lottery system was generated. The beneficiaries were happy with the fair distribution.
Each constituency shall receive 14 cows each, which make 70 cows in Pakyong district for 5 constituencies.
The cow beneficiaries were also given one day orientation on dairy farming, implemented by District Collectorate,Pakyong and A.H & V.S Department, Pakyong District.
While addressing the beneficiaries,the Area MLA congratulated them and added that the educated youth should also join the white revolution, get motivated from it and get benefits from government aided subsidies.

In order to celebrate 208th Bhanu Jayanti in a grand manner, final review meeting of Pakyong District is held today under the chairmanship of Shri BB Subba President of Sikkim Pratibha Pratisthan Pakyong. The Bhanu Jayanti program will be jointly organised by Sikkim Pratibha Pratisthan Pakyong and District Administrative Centre Pakyong.
In today's meeting all heads of Bhanu Jayanti celebration sub Committees like Ramayan Path, poem recitation, folks songs, folks dance, (shova Yatra) rally, debate, publicity and other sub Committees placed their progress report till date to make the First time district level Bhanu Jayanti program a grand success.
President of the organising committee BB Subba informed that this year celebration will be a grand celebration as After Formation of Pakyong District this is for the first time we are celebrating the event in district level.
He has urged all Pakyong people to witness and be the part of the celebration by wearing traditional dresses and preserve our culture, traditions and languages. He appreciated all the sub-committees for putting their efforts for the celebration.

47th Birth Anniversary of Shakti Sanatani Mata is observed at Shakti Sanatani Saranagath Dham Parakha under Pakyong District.
Devotees from all over Sikkim celebrated the day by singing bhajans and offering prayers.

Mother Indra Maya Gurung at Parakha East Sikkim on June 18, 1976. She received divine power in the year 1995 and thereafter she started performing pujas. She studied at Linkey Secondary school upto class 9. She took her last breath on June 7, 2009.

Lossong Archery Tournament 2021-22 is underway at South Karthok Pakyong in East Sikkim. The tournament started on December 5, 2021.
Today's match was played between Naitam Brothers versus Saile 7 in which
Naitam Brothers won the match by 32-30 points and entered into second round of the tournament.
Shri Pema Wangyal Kazi, retired teacher was present as the Chief Guest and Shri Loday Bhutia, Teacher and Shri Tashi Pinsto Makpen, Senior Labour Inspector were present as the Guest of honors.
Shri I.B. The second semi-final of Late Laden Bhutia Memorial Diwali Football Tournament 2021 is held today here at Bojeytar Pakyong East Sikkim.

Speaker Sikkim Legislative Assembly Shri LB Das today inaugurated State Bank of Sikkim Majhitar Branch in East Sikkim in the presence of SBS Chairman DB Gurung,
Advisor SBS Mohan K Rai, SBS Managing Director SBS Phurba Wangdi and Chief General Manager SR Karki and Bank officials and Dignataries
Similarly, another State Bank of Sikkim Sikip Branch in South Sikkim is inaugurated under Poklok Kamrang Constituency today by Chairman State Bank of Sikkim Shri DB Gurung in the presence of Area Incharge KB Rai, Zilla Adakshya Tshering Dem Bhutia,
BDO Wok-Sikip Tirsang Tamang, South Vice President Incharge SKM Party Shri Satish Chandra Rai, Managing Director SBS Phurba Wangdi Bhutia, CGM SBS SR Karki and other Bank officials.
This is the 55th and 56th branches of State Bank of Sikkim inaugurated today.
Smt Durga Thapa and Shri PK Chettri are the Branch Manager of Majhitar and Sikip Branch respectively.
To facilitates people of Sikkim especially in the rural areas the State Bank of Sikkim has been providing Bank services across the State.
