RGP Women’s Wing Meets SP North Over Online Es**rt Racket Misusing Goan Identity, Plans Awareness Drive on Pink Force for Women's Safety
In a proactive step to protect the dignity and identity of Goan women, the Women’s Wing of the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) met with Superintendent of Police (North Goa) Rahul Gupta today to raise concerns regarding es**rt service websites falsely operating in the name of Goan girls.
The delegation, led by RGP Women’s Wing President Deodita Quadros, highlighted that several websites have been using deceptive and defamatory content, promoting es**rt services using names, images, and references suggestive of Goan women and girls. An earlier complaint on this issue had been submitted to the authorities.
SP Rahul Gupta assured the delegation that the Cyber Crime Cell has already acted against more than 500 such websites and continues to monitor and crack down on such illegal digital platforms. He also gave full cooperation to the delegation and agreed to provide periodic updates on the progress of ongoing actions in this matter.
The meeting also saw the RGP Women’s Wing raise the issue of public awareness about Pink Force, a dedicated women's safety police unit working under Goa Police. They requested the SP to conduct an orientation session about the Pink Force's services, operations, and how it can be used effectively by women across Goa for their protection.
In response, SP Rahul Gupta expressed his support and agreed to facilitate an awareness program. The RGP Women’s Wing has announced plans to organize this Pink Force Awareness Session soon, aimed at educating women from across Goa how to access emergency help, report crimes, and ensure their personal safety through the Pink Force initiative.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Ms. Quadros said, “Goan women deserve to feel safe and respected—both offline and online. Misuse of Goan identity through es**rt websites is an attack on our culture and dignity. We are thankful to SP Rahul Gupta for taking swift action and standing with us. Our women’s wing will now work closely with the Goa Police to raise awareness about women’s safety services like Pink Force.”
The RGP reiterated its stand on safeguarding the rights and dignity of every Goan, especially women, and called upon the authorities to strengthen cyber surveillance and fast-track actions against digital defamation, exploitation, and abuse.
