Your body contains 72km of nerves and enough blood vessels to circle Earth twice. The human body's nervous system is a marvel of biological engineering.

If all your nerve fibers were stretched end to end, they'd span roughly 45 miles (72 kilometers) - enough to connect distant parts of your body with lightning-fast communication.

The longest single nerve, the sciatic nerve, can stretch over 1 meter (3 feet) in some individuals, running from the lower spine down to the foot.

The central nervous system, made up of the brain and spinal cord, controls every thought, sensation, and movement - with the spinal cord alone measuring about 18 inches (45 cm) in length.
And that's just one system.

The body's blood vessels - arteries, veins, and capillaries - stretch more than 95,000 kilometers (59,000 miles) if laid end to end, enough to circle the Earth more than twice.

Supporting it all is your skeleton, built from 206 bones, which protect organs, produce blood cells, and form the framework for muscles. Together, these systems highlight the body's astonishing complexity and its ability to function as one synchronized unit.

Gaṇapati-Tattvam.!

Ganapati, is not only a brilliant head & not only the remover of obstacles but the very principle of intelligence and order that holds life together.

Gaṇa means groups—our senses, thoughts, tattvas (cosmic principles). Pati means master—the one who governs them. His elephant head symbolizes vast wisdom, big ears show deep listening, and the mouse beneath him is the restless mind under control.

The broken tusk teaches us to sacrifice ego, while his large belly represents the power to hold all experiences calmly.

In Yoga & Sri Vidya, Gaṇapati rules the Mūlādhāra chakra, grounding energy and awakening kuṇḍalinī. His bīja “ GAM” vibrates with stability and strength. Thus, Gaṇapati is not outside but the very Self—our inner guide who aligns body, mind, and spirit, leading us from limitation to freedom.

Marry Christmas

Christmas and New Year are both associated with Jesus. We should reflect on his beautiful, most challenging life, so difficult to imitate and follow. Jesus said, “Carry your cross and follow me.”
“Carrying your cross” refers to crossing the veil of ignorance and living in Christ consciousness. It also means we have to crush our egos, arrogance, I-ness, and emotional natures. We must realize our divine nature by transcending our egocentric personalities. When we rise above our egos and pride, we will perceive our divinity. Ego attaches us to the body and the world. Freedom from ego is freedom from body consciousness.

Let us celebrate these holy occasions with love and joy. Let us love all unconditionally. Let us serve all as the presence of God. Let this Christmas end a meaningful and purposeful year. And let this New Year have a prayerful and dedicated beginning.

I take this opportunity to bow to all of you as the living presence of God. I pray for all of you to live immersed in light and love.

Action and relaxation
We utilise these two tendencies of action and relaxation whenever we are confronted by any of the Yoga practices. Take an asana, for example, bhujangasana, the cobra posture. By lying on our stomach and then moving into the Cobra pose, the whole body, from the top of the head to the tip of the toes is brought into a state of awareness where action is experienced. Then we come down from the pose and rest, and a feeling of relaxation is experienced within the whole body.

Meditative action

When we begin to meditate, initially awareness is directed outwards towards the experiences of the body and of memory before being drawn back inside. After the attention has been fully directed outside, we begin to go inside ourselves. It is this 'going in' process that is the third aspect of Yoga. We try to experience this internal awareness even when we are involved with a physical posture, a pranayama practice or relaxation technique.

We are constantly communicating, whether consciously or unconsciously, whether the body is at rest, in action, or in a state of meditation. Behaviour in action, rest and meditation, this is the process, the swing of consciousness, which we have to observe when we practise Yoga to derive the maximum benefit, whether physical or psychological.
