Why Prioritize Scripture over Unity?

1.Scripture is the ultimate authority:
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God, and it should be our ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12).

2. Unity can be achieved through compromise:
Unity can sometimes be achieved by compromising on biblical truth, but this is not a legitimate or sustainable form of unity (Galatians 1:10, 2 Timothy 4:3-4).

3. Scripture provides a foundation for unity:
While prioritizing Scripture over unity may seem counterintuitive, it actually provides a foundation for true and lasting unity among believers (Ephesians 4:1-6, Philippians 2:1-4).

4. Prioritizing Scripture promotes spiritual maturity: Prioritizing Scripture over unity promotes spiritual maturity and discernment, as believers learn to evaluate teachings and practices in light of God's Word (Hebrews 5:11-14, 1 John 4:1-6).

While unity is important, it should never come at the expense of compromising biblical truth.
