ਦਿੱਲੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਕੱਲ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਕਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਆਗੂ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਕਲਾਬੀ ਜਮਹੂਰੀ ਕਾਰਕੁਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਨੌਰਥ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਨੇੜੇ ਵਿਜੇ ਨਗਰ ਡਬਲ ਸਟੋਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਅਕਸ਼ੈ,ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ,ਰੁਦਰ,ਕਿਰਨ , ਗੌਰਵ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ,ਭਗਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਮੰਚ (BSCEM) ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਦਲ ਤੇ ਏਤਮਾਮ Forum Against Corporatisation and Militarisation ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਹਨ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਫਾਸ਼ੀਵਾਦੀ ਹਕੂਮਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋਕ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਆਗੂ, ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਆਗੂ ਤੇ ਇਨਕਲਾਬੀ ਜਮਹੂਰੀ ਕਾਰਕੁੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਪੁਲਸੀਆਂ ਜਬਰ ਢਾਹੁਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਝੂਠੇ ਕੇਸ ਮੜ ਕੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੱਕਣ ਦਾਂ #ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤੀਕਾਰੀ ਪੇਂਡੂ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ #ਯੂਨੀਅਨ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Punjab University students strongly oppose seminar involving BJP and RSS, announce protest.
Chandigarh (March 8, 2026): The atmosphere on the university campus has become tense over a seminar being organized at Panjab University Chandigarh on the life and philosophy of the ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. In this program, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Iqbal Singh Lalpura has been invited as the main speaker and a senior office bearer of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Banvir Singh has been invited as the chief guest, which is being strongly opposed by various student organizations of the university.
Student leaders say that an attempt is being made to spoil the academic atmosphere of the university under the policy of saffronization. They said that the life of Guru Sahib Ji is a symbol of sacrifice for the protection of human rights and religious freedom, while the ideology of the current ruling parties is the opposite. The students allege that through such seminars, the RSS wants to impose its agenda on educational institutions.
The students have announced that they will not let this program succeed and will protest on a large scale in the university campus during the seminar.

Friends and fellow students,

This evening at 4 pm, a meeting was convened by the Vice Chancellor’s office regarding the issue of restricting the hostel timings for girls. In the meeting, special emphasis was laid on the demand that the order imposing immediate restrictions on girls’ timings be withdrawn at once. It was further demanded that the library be made accessible for girls on a twenty four hour basis as well.

The issue of harassment faced by girls and the unchecked entry of vehicles belonging to outsiders was also raised by student representatives. Women students directly articulated their concerns regarding security and other timing related needs, and firmly demanded the immediate removal of the curfew. On all these matters, the authority had no concrete answer in the name of logic and argument.

The DSO (Democratic Students Organisation) firmly demands not only a verbal withdrawal of the notice but also the immediate issuance of a written notification extending hostel and library timings. The DSO calls upon all women students to make full use of the library for their studies and to firmly resist any attempt to obstruct them. It further appeals to all justice minded students to recognise the basic democratic principle at stake in the demand for extended timings and to stand united against patriarchal authority.
