Veeru Devgan was the father of a famous stunt director of
Indian cinema and actor Ajay Devgan. He was born on 25
June 1934 in Amritsar, Punjab. Viru Deugan's film career is
an inspiring story of reaching heights from an ordinary
beginning. They came to Mumbai in 1957 with a dream of
making a career in films.
Viru Devgan started his career as a stuntman and slowly he
became a stunt director. He added a new dimension to
Indian cinema with his excellent work. In the 80s and 90s,Viru Deugan directed stunt for several hit movies, including famous films like "Phool & Kante," "Dilwale," "Kalicharan,"and "Himmatwala'". His excellent choreography and action sequence gave him a special place in the film industry.
He was not only expert in his profession, but also a loving
father. Viru Devgan's significant contribution has been
behind the success of Ajay Devgan's career. He not only
taught Ajay the nuances of acting, but also explained every aspect of filmmaking. Viru Devgan believed that hard work,dedication and honesty were the key to success, and he
instilled the same values in his son.
Viru Deugan passed away on 27 May 2019, but his legacy lives on even today. Their contribution to Indian cinema is priceless and their memories will forever remain in the
hearts of film lovers. Viru Deugan's story is an example of struggle, determination and immense hard work that will continue to inspire generations to come.
