Panun Pattan cricket tournament inaugurated in Pattan by MLA Pattan
The Much awaited inaugural match of Ist Panun Pattan cricket tournament a village level based cricket tournament was played between Chukar Royals and HCC Shirpora.
The tournament was inaugurated by Hon'ble MLA Pattan Mr Javaid Riyaz Bedar who emphasized on organising more such tournaments for youth. The inaugural match which turned out to be cliffhanger was won by Chukar Royals courtesy brilliant batting by Kaiser who scored 95 runs thereby grabbing Man of the match award. Total of 32 teams are participating in the said tournament played under the theme My Youth My Pride.
The inaugural ceremony was also graced by officials of GDC Pattan, President Traders Federation Pattan, officials of Helping Hand society, Senior Journalist Rahi Nisar,SAP officials and others.

چنار کے درخت کے گرنے سے کئی گاڑیاں تباہ، مقامی افراد میں شدید غم و غصہ

آج صبح پٹن علاقے میں ایک پرانا اور خستہ حال چنار کا درخت اچانک سڑک پر آ گرا، جس سے قریب کھڑی کئی گاڑیاں کو شدید ننقصان ہو گئیں۔ خوش قسمتی سے کوئی جانی نقصان نہیں ہوا، حالانکہ اس سے پہلے بھی اسی جگہ پر ایک ایس پی او کی جان چلی گئی تھی

مقامی لوگوں کے مطابق یہ چنار کا درخت کئی مہینوں سے خستہ حالت میں تھا۔ علاقے کے مکینوں نے متعدد بار متعلقہ محکموں کو درخواستیں دیں کہ درخت کو کاٹ دیا جائے کیونکہ یہ کسی بھی وقت گر سکتا ہے۔ تاہم، حکام کی جانب سے کوئی عملی اقدام کیا گیا۔

یہ سب سرکاری غفلت کا نتیجہ ہے۔ اگر وقت پر کارروائی ہوتی تو اج یہ دن نہ دیکھنا پڑتا۔"

The Municipal Committee (MC) Pattan is set to begin work on beautifying the Pattan market and improving the drainage system in the area. Executive Officer MC Pattan, Mohsin Ahmad, has requested residents to come forward and help identify areas that need drainage and other infrastructure improvements.

MLA Javid Riyaz Bedar Inaugurates Mini Super Bazar in Pattan

Pattan, July 31: In a major step towards enhancing local infrastructure and promoting cooperative development, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pattan, Javid Riyaz Bedar, today inaugurated a Mini Super Bazar established by The Pattan Co-operative Marketing Society Ltd. near Degree College Pattan.

The inaugural event was attended by key officials including Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Mr. Mohd Adnan, Assistant Registrar, Mr. Abdul Rufi, BDO Pattan, Mr. Tawheed Ahmad, along with several dignitaries and a large gathering of local residents.

While addressing the gathering, Mr. Bedar highlighted the pivotal role of cooperative institutions in strengthening the rural economy. He lauded the efforts of The Pattan Co-operative Marketing Society Ltd. for launching this initiative under government supervision, aimed at providing quality and affordable goods to the people.

"The cooperative sector has immense potential to empower rural communities and ensure access to essential commodities at fair prices," Mr. Bedar stated.

The newly inaugurated Mini Super Bazar will offer a wide range of daily essentials and grocery items at reasonable rates, aiming to improve access to necessities and contribute to the socio-economic upliftment of the region.

The ceremony witnessed enthusiastic participation from the public, reflecting strong community support and optimism towards such developmental initiatives.
