For all the lost souls, the vagabonds, and exiled, the outcasts, the abandoned and the forgotten...For all the weary who can never go back home, your pain is not forsaken. Peace be with you, oh tumultuous creatures of night. Your struggle and loneliness in this life will be remedied when you pass over to the other side of the mirror. May Godspeed your flight upon this journey home. Until you find your solace after all this bloodshed has ceased. Even until death, carry on like the crow of solitude. You are a strong bird that can not be shaken. You have wandered through the desert with wounded wings and broken claws. You have flown so far with feathers torn apart, and you shall not be broken again. For to lose all that is loved in this life is to gain all that shall be given in the realm of eternal sanctuary. Stand tall and do not cower, oh ye mighty warrior of the night. Fly high and alone into the night sky. For there you shall reclaim your victory. Far far away from all those who sought to destroy the purity of your heart. You shall soon feast upon the spoils of their desolations. In the final hours, after all this passes away shall you find your victory. With this sword and armor you shall keep the strength. The battle is not lost and the war has only just begun.

“Stationery”

The moon did not become the sun.
It just fell on the desert
in great sheets, reams
of silver handmade by you.
The night is your cottage industry now,
the day is your brisk emporium.
The world is full of paper.

Write to me.

“Sunday Blues”

I don’t mean the sad kind. I mean the why-can’t-Sundays-be-forever, bittersweet sense of how quickly Sunday evening arrives, then Sunday night, which means that in the morning it will be Monday and we all know about that, there's whole songs written about it. I remember being a kid, when saving all your weekend homework until Sunday night made it infinitely worse.

“Everything we do, we do willingly in life. Some things change us for the better, and some things change our life in the worst way. How we choose to proceed next, in the present and future, is an unpredictable and complex situation.

But, if for once, we took the time to analyze what’s behind the lines, we could find a large amount or little, of inconsistency; If we dig further and we do our research. We should always, or mostly, listen to our gut instinct, and we should never give up on our pursuit of the truth.”

“There is nothing wrong in it if it is taken in the right spirit. The craving for importance can be a positive motivation. If you improve your work performance or accelerate your productivity, you will get the appreciation and admiration of everyone. And praise is the most precious and prized possession which even saints can rarely deny.”

“Lying has never been easier. Whether it’s big or small, or it causes havoc or not in one’s situation. That’s the scary thing about people’s free will, we choose to be liars, we choose our words, we choose it all. That’s one thing that stands true. Our actions say a lot, more than empty words and promises ever will. Sad, but it’s true. At least for most of us.”

Broken Promises //

Your broken promises reign anew
Oh darkened clouds of the night we knew
Full moon shined, oh straight on through
So bright, disrespected, oh so untrue
Lovers demolished forevermore in abyss

You walked away again and again
I destroyed your rose with no last kiss
Alone within no more, oh never again
You pretend to cry in remorse of sin
You never loved, your vacancy now lost

You betrayed my trust despite the cost
Your broken promises, now claimed in blood
Oh desecrated clouds of the night above
Reign down upon me in darkness true
Your false love a lie, a deceptive hue

Demolished, destroyed, mutilated, buried
Your broken promises I cast now far away
In fatal thorns for you to stray
Your chance to betray again, alleviated
Your callus lies shall no more stay

“If there is anything life has taught me over the past few years, it’s that actions really do speak louder than words. This is not ideal for most of us, but for the majority, it’s a vital part of self-growth, a test of our strength as an individual, but sometimes we really need a good wake-up call in order to move forward in our lives.

And honestly, that’s something you gradually open your eyes to, in times of clarity and patience with one’s self. I mean, anyone can tell you what you want to hear and any person can easily believe it. Just because it has been said, doesn’t mean it’s truth.”

“Give respect if you want respect. Respect cannot be forced or snatched. It has to be earned with good behaviour. Hazrat Ali beautifully says, “I respect elders because they have prayed more and I respect youngers because they have sinned less.” If the world follows his wise advice, all distinctions of the rich and the poor, the high and the low will diminish. All will be the children of God and all will be equal. This will pave the way for a truly egalitarian society.”

“I have been thinking about this lately, as I am at one of those exciting times in life when I am not really sure what is coming next, and there's a lot I can't control right now. But I can control my need to control the small imperfections that make life beautiful, memorable, and unique. I can't ever get this time back right now, in which all things seem possible, and that is a precious place to be. It allows you to dream, of lemons pies or better versions of yourself, or whatever it may be for you. The trick is not to get attached to one specific version of your fantasies, even the one where you become somehow a more enlightened version of yourself. Because we are not all here to be Buddha. All we can do is practice non-attachment, while accepting that we are only human, with little human egos, fragile as pie crust. We can make pies with spring fruit and practice letting our fingers be soft. We can take the scissors out to the garden box in the light June rain and prune the cinnamon basil for clippings. We can coat them in sugar and sprinkle them on top of a strawberry pie to hide the small tear, that no one will notice, as juice runs down our chins.”
