🚨 Catastrophic Texas Floods – July 4, 2025
A massive flash flood along the Guadalupe River in Central Texas has claimed at least 13 lives, swept away homes, campers, and infrastructure, and left up to 20 children missing at Camp Mystic, a girls’ summer camp near Kerrville .
Key points:
The Guadalupe River surged nearly 26 feet in just 45 minutes, causing sudden and devastating flooding .
Camp Mystic was hit by “catastrophic” flooding; around 700 campers were evacuated, but about 20 are still unaccounted for .
Emergency crews are using helicopters, drones, and 500+ personnel to carry out rescue operations .
Officials are urging all residents to move to higher ground and remain cautious as more rain is expected .
