Jammu, September 10: Senior BJP leader and Mahant Guruji Raju Nath Chandel visited the residence of Dr. Bhola Singh—the Lok Sabha MP from the Bulandshahr constituency—on his birthday today. He accorded him a grand welcome, presenting him with a locket of Lord Valmiki and a ceremonial stole, while extending best wishes for his continued success and progress. Mahant Raju Nath Chandel remarked that their respected brother, Dr. Bhola Singh, is a popular MP representing the Scheduled Caste community; he works inclusively with all sections of society and powerfully voices their concerns in the Lok Sabha.

On this occasion, Delhi State Scheduled Caste Morcha President Advocate Lajpat Rai arrived with his team and accorded a grand welcome to the MP with garlands and a ceremonial stole. DC Ramban Reviews Implementation of NAPS

RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 10: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, today chaired a meeting of officers to review the implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) in the district.

The meeting was attended by GM DIC, CPO , ACD, Principal GDC Ramban, LDM, MS DH Ramban, Executive Engineers of PWD and Jal Shakti, CEO, Tehsildar Headquarters, ALC, Principal Polytechnic College, Superintendent ITI and other concerned officers and stakeholders.

The Deputy Commissioner designated the General Manager, DIC Ramban, as the District Nodal Officer for effective implementation of NAPS in the district. The Nodal Officer will coordinate with ITIs, Polytechnic Colleges, educational and skill development institutions, hydropower projects, MSMEs, banks and other establishments to formulate and implement a time-bound action plan for achieving the prescribed targets.

The DC directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner, Principal Polytechnic College, Superintendent ITI and other concerned officers to extend full support to the District Nodal Officer in coordinating with establishments, institutions, departments and other stakeholders. He stressed that NAPS implementation be accorded top priority through concerted efforts to maximise participation of eligible candidates and establishments.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed the officers to intensify registration of candidates and establishments and achieve the targets on mission mode through focused mobilisation and registration drives across the district. Special emphasis was laid on onboarding eligible establishments, particularly companies engaged in NH-44 projects, hydropower projects, MSMEs and other industrial and commercial establishments, on the NAPS portal.

The DC directed the GM DIC to submit a consolidated daily progress report on the implementation of NAPS, ensuring close monitoring and timely corrective action wherever required.

ADC Ramban Reviews Implementation of HADP,

Calls for Strengthened Monitoring and Farmer Outreach

RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 10: Additional Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Varunjeet Singh Charak, today chaired a meeting to review the implementation and progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) being implemented by the Agriculture and allied departments in the district.

The meeting focused on assessing the progress of various projects and schemes, strengthening monitoring mechanisms, improving inter-departmental coordination and ensuring effective service delivery to the farming community.

The meeting was attended by CAO, CHO, Tehsildar Hqr, AMO, AD Fisheries, DSHO, and Officers of Animal Husbandry along with officers and officials from the concerned Agriculture and allied departments.

The ADC reviewed the status of various HADP projects and initiatives being implemented across the district and stressed the need for coordinated efforts to achieve the intended outcomes of the programme.

Highlighting the importance of agriculture and allied sectors as major sources of livelihood in the district, He called for proactive field-level outreach and regular monitoring to ensure that eligible farmers derive maximum benefit from HADP schemes.

Keeping in view the potential of sheep farming in Ramban, the ADC directed the Sheep Husbandry Department to intensify awareness and sensitisation programmes and educate farmers about modern sheep-rearing techniques, available schemes and the benefits of adopting sheep farming as a sustainable livelihood activity.

The ADC directed the concerned officers to closely monitor the progress of HADP initiatives and submit regular reports to his office to ensure timely implementation of the programme components. He also stressed the importance of improving service delivery at departmental centres so that farmers receive timely assistance, information and technical guidance regarding agriculture and allied activities.

Inter-Division UT-Level Chess Championship Concludes at Chanderkote;

MLA Ramban Presides Over Culmination Ceremony

RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 10: MLA Ramban Arjun Singh Raju today presided over the culmination ceremony of the Inter-Division UT-Level Chess Competition 2026–27 as the Chief Guest, held at Yatri Niwas, Chanderkote,

Organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, J&K, in collaboration with the District Administration Ramban, the championship witnessed enthusiastic participation of around 59 young chess players representing the Jammu and Kashmir Divisions in Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 Boys and Girls categories. The participants showcased impressive talent, strategic thinking, discipline and sporting spirit throughout the competition.

Addressing the gathering, the MLA called upon coaches and technical officials to identify promising talent and nurture their skills through regular coaching, mentoring and guidance. He emphasised the need for a sustained and long-term approach to player development to prepare young sportspersons for higher-level and national competitions. He also encouraged the participants to “dream big”, remain curious and continuously strive to learn and improve.

The MLA appreciated the District Administration Ramban for its continued support, cooperation and hospitality in facilitating the successful conduct of the championship.

The winners and runners-up were felicitated during the ceremony. Jammu Division emerged victorious in all six categories, while Kashmir Division secured the runner-up positions.

The championship was conducted under the overall supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Ramban, Nazir Hussain.

The event provided an important platform for emerging chess talent to gain competitive exposure, sharpen their skills and enhance their preparedness for higher-level competitions.

نئی دہلی، 8 ستمبر: لداخ کے لیفٹیننٹ گورنر ونے کمار سکسینہ کو منگل کے روز موجودہ لیفٹیننٹ گورنر منوج سنہا کی غیر موجودگی اور رخصت کے دوران جموں و کشمیر کے لیفٹیننٹ گورنر کے فرائض کا اضافی چارج سونپ دیا گیا۔

سرکاری ذرائع کے مطابق منوج سنہا، جنہوں نے 7 اگست 2020 کو جموں و کشمیر کے لیفٹیننٹ گورنر کا عہدہ سنبھالا تھا، اس وقت سرکاری دورے پر امریکہ میں موجود ہیں۔

راشٹرپتی بھون کی جانب سے جاری اعلامیے میں کہا گیا ہے کہ صدرِ جمہوریہ ہند نے لداخ کے لیفٹیننٹ گورنر ونے کمار سکسینہ کو ہدایت دی ہے کہ وہ اپنے موجودہ فرائض کے علاوہ، جموں و کشمیر کے لیفٹیننٹ گورنر منوج سنہا کی غیر موجودگی اور رخصت کے دوران جموں و کشمیر کے لیفٹیننٹ گورنر کے فرائض بھی انجام دیں۔
