*Court Rejects Bail Plea of Three in Anantnag Organized Crime Case*

Srinagar, Sep 26 (AIU): The Principal Sessions Judge Anantnag on Thursday refused bail to three accused persons linked with an organized crime case, reinforcing the crackdown against crime syndicates in the district.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner --- AIU, The accused, Mohammad Iqbal Wani, son of Mohd Skindar Wani of Voibomndora Kokernag; Tasaduq Hussain Dar, son of Ab. Gani Dar of Sadoora Anantnag; and Mujeeb Ahmad Koka, son of Gh. Mohi-ud-din Koka of Shankerpora Anantnag, were booked under FIR No. 126/2025 for offences punishable under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Section 111 pertaining to organized crime.
Rejecting their plea, the court underscored the seriousness of the allegations and the larger impact of organized criminal activities on society.

Terming the order a major boost to the police’s drive against crime syndicates, Anantnag Police said the decision strengthens law enforcement’s hands in tackling organized crime and sends a strong message to criminal networks operating in the region.

“District Police Anantnag is committed to acting tough against organized crime. The investigation will continue to ensure every culprit faces the law, police said.” (AIU)

**TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR**

26-09-2025

*NH-44 (NHW)*
Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) *has NOT been fully restored* at Tharad, Udhampur.

There was *very slow movement* observed on NH-44 due to single lane traffic, undulating & uneven surface of the road at Tharad, breakdown of *05 HMVs* and movement of *11* nomadic flocks on NH-44.

*Traffic managed on regulated manner at Tharad,* Udhampur on NH-44 due to single lane about 250-300 Mtrs.

*Goods carrier (HMV/LMV) Operators carrying fresh perishable/live stock* are advised to load their vehicle as per advisory issued by Traffic Police Headquarters time to time as there is single lane traffic and poor condition of road at *Tharad (Udhampur), at Nashri-Dalwas and between Marog & Kishtwari Pather, also heavy movement of nomadic flocks on NH-44* .

Commuters are advised to *follow lane discipline; overtaking, wrong lane driving will cause congestion* . *Avoid travel on NH-44*, in view of heavy movement of nomadic herds, if not necessary.

Subject to fair weather and good road condition, *tomorrow only one way traffic for LMVs shall be permitted from Srinagar towards Jammu on NH-44.*

These vehicles shall be allowed *from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side) between 0700 hrs to 1000 hrs*

*No LMV* shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar on NH-44.

*LMVs* going towards *Distt. Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban* *from Jammu* shall be allowed *from Nagrota (Jammu) between 0700 hrs 1000 hrs.* However, *LMVs* coming from *Distt. Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban* towards Jammu will be permitted to move but these vehicle must cross the *Nashri Tunnel before 1000 hrs.*

*Mughal road is open* for LMVs from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa.

*HMVs/Load Carriers*
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, *HMVs shall be allowed from Jakheni (Udhampur) towards Srinagar* after assessing the traffic situation and road condition on NH-44. TCU Udhampur shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the HMVs.

*SFs Convoy Movement*
Security Forces are advised/requested *not to ply against advisory* /traffic plan in view of possible traffic congestion because of *narrow carriage way between Tharad and Balinallah/Marog and Kishtwar Pathar* on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. Tomorrow they may ply from *Jammu towards Srinagar* after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.

*Kishtwar- Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244*
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, after getting green signal from NHIDCL, only *LMVs shall be allowed from both sides* viz from Anantnag towards Kishtwar and vice- versa on Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road. These vehicles shall be allowed *from PP Parana towards Anantnag from 0800 hrs to 1500 hrs and from PP Daksum towards Kishtwar from 0900 hrs. to 1500 hrs.* as per order issued by SDM Chhatroo vide No. SDM/C/2025-26/530-37 dated 15-09-2025 and SDM Kokernag vide No. SDM/KNG/665-71 dated 16-05-2025.

*SSG ROAD*
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, (after getting green signal from the BRO) traffic movement shall be allowed on regulated manner on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road. LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed *from Minamarg towards Srinagar at 0500 hrs. to 1000 hrs.* Similarly, *LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil at 1130 hrs to 1730 hrs* . *No* vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.
SFs Convoy, plying from Srinagar to Kargil and vice versa shall plan their movement in such a manner so that Civil Traffic (both UP and DOWN) don't get disturbed.

*Mughal Road*
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, after getting green signal from Road maintenance agencies (GREF). *LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa via Poonch*. These vehicles shall be allowed *from Behramgala (Baffliaz) between 0600 hrs. to 1730 hrs and from Herpora (shopian) between 0600 hrs and 1700 hrs* as per advisory issued by District Magistrate Poonch vide No. DMP/J/9291-9318 dated 31-08-2025. However, *HMVs carrying essential commodities six tyres only shall be allowed from Poonch towards Shopian* and *No HMV shall be allowed after 0900 hrs. from Akhnoor Naka. Moreover, No HMV will be allowed from Hrpora Naka towards Mughal road* . TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the traffic advisory and cut off timings.

*CUT OFF TIMINGS FOR LMVs/PASSENGER/PRIVATE CARs GOING TOWARDS SRINAGAR VIA MUGHAL ROAD-*
Akhnoor 1230 hrs
Bhambla 1330 hrs
Rajouri 1530 hrs

MLA Ramban, Shri Arjun Singh Raju, recently visited Pogal Paristan, Senibhati, and the area of Halla (Chunthaan), where he interacted with the local residents and took stock of their issues and developmental requirements. During his visit, he assured the people that their concerns regarding road connectivity, electricity supply, healthcare facilities, and other basic amenities would be addressed in a phased manner. *Awantipora Organises PCPG Meeting and Thana Diwas at Pampore.*

Awantipora 25 September 2025:

Continuing its efforts to strengthen police-public relations and ensure community participation in crime prevention, Awantipora Police today conducted a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting and Thana Diwas at Pampore.
The meeting was chaired by SDPO Pampore Shri RP Singh alongwith SHO PS Pampore Inspector Khalid Fayaz and was attended by respectable citizens of the area.

During the interaction, participants were sensitised about the ill-effects of drug abuse and the legal consequences of forest-related crimes. Locals were advised to stay away from such unlawful activities and were encouraged to share any information about suspicious activities with the police for timely action.

The community members also raised their grievances related to policing as well as issues concerning other civil departments. These concerns were patiently heard, and necessary on-the-spot redressal was provided. The participants were assured that remaining issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for appropriate action.

In commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Budgam Police today organised a Run for Unity under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025-26. The run, held from Railway Station Budgam to New Bus Stand Budgam, witnessed enthusiastic participation of students from Spring Buds Educational Institute, Ompora.
The event was flagged off by Budgam Police officers in the presence of police officials, teachers, and students. Participants were felicitated with cash rewards, certificates, and mementos to encourage their continued involvement in such initiatives.
Budgam Police lauded the efforts of the participants and reiterated its commitment to promoting unity, integrity, and patriotism in line with the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
