Police, South Zone Achieves Another Success — Three Drug Peddlers Arrested by Police Station Gandhinagar; 36.78 Grams of Heroin-Like Substance, Cash ₹3,410, and a Digital Weighing Scale Recovered in Two Separate Cases*

In a continued drive against the scourge of narcotics, Jammu Police, South Zone, has once again registered a significant success with the arrest of three drug peddlers and the recovery of *heroin-like substance weighing 36.78 grams*, cash *amounting to ₹3,410, and a digital weighing scale in two separate cases.
The actions were executed under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu and the direct guidance of SP City South, SDPO City South, and SHO Police Station Gandhinagar.
On October 9, 2025, a police team from Police Post Digiana, led by the In-Charge Police Post Digiana and assisted by other officials, intercepted and apprehended two individuals during routine patrolling in the Digiana area. The accused were identified as:
1. Sushant Magotra, S/o Sat Paul, R/o Gadwal, Vijaypur, Samba
2. Rahul Sharma, S/o Bodh Raj Sharma, R/o Raipur Domana, Jammu
Upon search, 15 grams of heroin-like substance, ₹3,410 in cash, and one electronic weighing scale were recovered from Sushant Magotra, while 10 grams of heroin-like substance was seized from Rahul Sharma.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 224/2025 under Sections 8/21/22/27A/29 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandhinagar, and both accused were taken into custody for further investigation.
In a separate incident on October 10, 2025, a police team from Police Post Nehru Market, led by the In-Charge Police Post Nehru Market and assisted by other officials, apprehended one drug peddler identified as Sadham Hussain, S/o Alif Din, R/o Agra Chak, R.S. Pura, Jammu, during patrolling. A recovery of 11.78 grams of heroin-like substance was made from his possession.
Subsequently, a case FIR No. 225/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandhinagar, and the accused was arrested for further legal proceedings.
