𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗗𝗥𝗨𝗚 𝗣𝗘𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗦/𝗛𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗘𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗟𝗢𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗨𝗕 𝗝𝗔𝗜𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗜
Reasi, May 14, 2025: In continuation of the ongoing campaign “Ek Yudh Nashe Ke Virudh”, Reasi Police has taken a significant step against drug menace by booking and lodging two notorious drug peddlers/habitual offenders in Sub Jail Reasi.
Under the overall supervision of 𝗦𝗵. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘃𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗿. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, a team from Police Station Reasi conducted targeted raids at various hotspots in Reasi town. During the operation, two suspected drug peddlers—Vikram Singh @ Sahil S/O Sunder Singh R/O Trintha, Reasi, and Aakash Kumar S/O Krishan Kumar R/O Gran Morh, Tehsil & District Reasi—were apprehended.
Both individuals are known habitual offenders with previous involvement in drug peddling cases. They have been persistently engaged in supplying narcotics to the youth of the district, posing a serious threat to public health and safety.
Acting swiftly, Reasi Police booked the duo under preventive sections 129 and 170 of BNSS and produced them before the Executive Magistrate First Class (EMIC), Reasi. Upon the directions of the Magistrate, both were remanded to Sub Jail Reasi for a period of 7 days.
Sharing details of the operation, SSP Reasi 𝗦𝗵. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘃𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 stated, “On one hand, Reasi Police is taking strict punitive action against known drug peddlers, and on the other hand, preventive measures are being enforced to check the activities of suspects to safeguard the future of our youth.”
He further assured that more such actions are in the pipeline and that Reasi Police is fully committed to eradicating drug menace from the district, leaving no stone unturned in the fight to protect the younger generation.
