District Administration Reasi Organises Grand Tiranga Bike Rally under Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025

Reasi, August 11:In a vibrant display of patriotism, the District Administration Reasi, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik, in collaboration with District Police Reasi and the Youth Services & Sports Department, organised a grand Tiranga Bike Rally today as part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2025. The rally was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar from the historic General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium, Reasi.

The spirited rally traversed through the main market area, proceeded towards Jyotipuram, and returned to the stadium, carrying the message of unity, national pride, and enthusiastic participation in the nationwide campaign.

Over 100 participants — including enthusiastic youth, members of various organisations, government officials, and police personnel — took part in the event, proudly waving the tricolour and chanting slogans that echoed the spirit of India’s independence.

Addressing the gathering, ADC Rakesh Kumar underscored the significance of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in fostering nationalism and unity. He urged all citizens to join the Independence Day celebrations by hoisting the national flag at their homes, thereby contributing to the nationwide expression of pride and patriotism.

The rally not only celebrated the nation’s rich heritage but also served as a powerful reminder of every citizen’s role in preserving and honouring the ideals of independence.ACD Reasi Vijay Kumar, DySP Vishal jamwal, DYSSO Tarsem singh and other concerned were present.

Reasi, August 09: In strict enforcement of the ban imposed by District Magistrate Reasi on the procurement, stocking, sale and use of nylon thread (commonly known as Gattu), District Police Reasi today conducted market checking in the town area.

During the inspection, one lady identified as Suman Balli W/O Khush Kumar R/o Ward No. 10, Reasi was found selling the banned nylon thread at her shop. Acting promptly, the police seized the prohibited material from the spot.

In this regard, FIR No. 135/2025 U/S 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station Reasi, and investigation into the matter has been initiated.

𝗦𝗦𝗣 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶 𝗦𝗵. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘃𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵-𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦 reiterated that the use of nylon thread poses a serious threat to public safety, wildlife, and the environment. The District Police is committed to ensuring strict compliance with the ban and will take stern legal action against violators.

The general public is advised to refrain from selling, purchasing or using nylon strings and to immediately inform the police about any violations.

NSS UNIT AND NCORD CELL OF GDC DHARMARI ORGANIZED AWARENESS DRIVE AGAINST DRUG ABUSE UNDER NASHA MUKT J&K ABHIYAN

The National Service Scheme Unit and NCORD Cell of Government Degree College, Dharmari, organized Awareness Drive under ‘’Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan’’ as a part of the celebrations of the 79th Independence Day 2025. The event witnessed active participation of the teaching and non-teaching staff, NSS volunteers and students. During the programme, the participants prepared impactful slogans and posters to spread awareness against drug abuse, followed by a walk and interaction with local residents to sensitize them about the ill effects of drugs and to encourage a collective stand for a drug-free society. After interacting with the locals, the posters were fixed in the local market to ensure wider outreach of the message. The activity was conducted under the guidance of the College Principal, Dr. Rajni Bhagat and the supervision of NSS Programme Officer Prof. Ajay Kumar. The organizational coordination was efficiently managed by Dr. Saleem Ahmed, Prof. Balbir Kumar and Prof. Mohinder Singh.
The programme concluded with the distribution of refreshments among the participants, reflecting the institution’s commitment towards social responsibility and the vision of building a healthier, addiction-free Jammu & Kashmir.
