India Does the Impossible in Just 24 Hours 🔥
In January 2026, India achieved a Guinness World Record for the fastest road construction by laying 28.95 lane-km of bituminous concrete in just 24 hours. This feat was executed on the NH-544G Bengaluru–Kadapa–Vijayawada Economic Corridor in Andhra Pradesh.
🔻 Key Achievement (Jan 2026): On 6th January 2026, 28.95 lane-km (3-lane wide 9.63 km) was completed in 24 hours.
🔻Location: The project is on the Bengaluru–Vijayawada Economic Corridor (NH-544G) in Andhra Pradesh, specifically near Puttaparthi.
🔻Contractor: Maharashtra-based M/s Rajpath Infracon Private Limited.
🔻Equipment Used: The record involved high-speed, continuous paving using specialized machinery.
Additional records, such as laying 57,500 metric tons of bituminous concrete, were also achieved on 11th January 2026 on the same corridor.
