A complete modern concept, high-tech design & techno version of Sarod enchanted for world music.

Senia Bangash Gharana differences between Erod -Mk2 and Sarod

Our “EroD-Mk2” Is a Tick wood made sarod, which have skin toned SoundBoard as a sarod and also the Strings which used are “Sarod Srings” Not Guitar Strings.

A High Definition Pickup is fitted in Between the Upper Board and the waist part & also alignment with cutaway. With Erod – Mk2 any one can perform Jazz, Pop, Rock, specially Hard Metal, Metal and different tones by Using Sound Processor in Live concerts or Sound recordings. During any live concert Anyone can control The volume or the mix sound ratio by using the volume box which is fitted on the Right side of the Drum.

If anyone want to play the Instrument without Pickup or Without Electronic Processor They can Play the instrument Easily without Using Those electric gadget and its sound Production will be as like as a Traditional Sarod.

What is the resin from which Erod – Mk2 came from? Is it helpful for Young Musicians or Professional musicians to perform in a concert?

Srinjoy Mukherjee (Young Sarod Player):- from 2013 I was invited to collaborate with western classical music instruments . Now days called “Fusion” Music but I always want to say that’s a Electro classical Concept. By The way It was invited but when I started to perform with the electronic music Instruments like electric guitar, Bass guitar and also the loudest Instrument Drums My Manual sarod sound was not hearable I was unable to hear also my sound from stage.

It was a huge Insulting Moment for me. And after 5 concerts I almost stopped to do Fusion Music / Electro Classical Music

At that Time I saw Erod in my Guruji’s place. I just fell in love with the instrument. I told one of my most close brother Tuhin Chakraborty (most young professor of Kharagpur IIT , Award Holder by Governor of West Bengal ). suddenly Resign from his job and That day he called me and told about his dream prospects what he took. My answer was “Great Decision bro Just come and make Santipur more Proud my Brother ” then we met and planed about the “EroD” Day by Day we hope our plan Became successful so Here is a small video of Erod – Mk2 . A huge difference between erod and Erod – Mk 2 is Erod have no skin on drum but Have Skin on Drum for that anyone can Play the instrument without electricity also

But yes now I can say that I have a fistful faith with my “Erod_Mk2” and I can now perform Distortion , pop , jazz etc with my electronic sarod (Erod-Mk2)

And I hope young Generation of my age Group will be very Happy and they also want to learn Indian Classical Music.
