Today marks one year since the tragic Air India Flight 171 crash in Ahmedabad, one of the deadliest aviation disasters in recent history.

On June 12, 2025, 260 precious lives were lost — 241 passengers and crew on board, along with 19 people on the ground. Behind every number was a dream, a family, and a story that ended far too soon.

As we remember the victims, we stand with their families and loved ones who continue to carry this loss every day. May their memories live on, and may this tragedy continue to remind us of the importance of safety, responsibility, and compassion.

India reached a historic milestone in aerospace and defence manufacturing as the first fully "Made in India" Airbus C-295 successfully completed its maiden test flight on June 10, 2026. Built at the Tata Advanced Systems Final Assembly Line in Vadodara, this marks the first time a complete military transport aircraft has been manufactured in India by a private-sector company.

The achievement showcases the rapid growth of India's defence manufacturing capabilities, with over 85% of the aircraft's structural components and more than 13,000 parts sourced from Indian suppliers across the country. Following its successful maiden flight, the aircraft will undergo additional testing and certification before being inducted into the Indian Air Force.
