Two of our explorers found themselves stuck at an offbeat Himachal location at midnight during a camping festival. 🚙⛺️

❄️ No city lights.
🔥 Just a bonfire, the sound of the river, and a sky full of stars keeping them company.
🎶 Music, laughter, and the thrill of the unknown turned “stuck” into the best memory of the trip.

A cloudburst hit Dharali village near Harshil, Uttarakhand today, causing sudden flooding and heavy damage in the area. Torrential rains triggered landslides and overflowed streams, affecting roads, homes, and local farms.🚑 Rescue teams have been deployed, and relief operations are underway. Locals are being evacuated to safer locations.🙏 Prayers for the safety of all residents, and strength to the brave rescue workers on the ground.⚠️ Travelers and pilgrims are advised to avoid the route and stay updated via official channels.

⚠️ Weather Alert for Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand ⚠️

Between July 5th and 9th, many regions in Himachal Pradesh are expected to receive intense to extremely heavy rainfall, with July 6th forecasted as the day with the highest intensity. The IMD has issued a Red Alert for several districts, including Kullu, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Chamba, Solan, Sirmaur, Una, Hamirpur, and Bilaspur.

Similar weather patterns are predicted in Uttarakhand, increasing the chances of flash floods, landslides, and road closures.

🚧 Essential Travel Advisory:

🔴 Avoid all non-essential travel to the hills during this period—your safety is the top priority.

📲 Follow official updates from the IMD, state disaster departments, and local authorities for real-time weather and road information.

🌘 Avoid night travel—low visibility and slippery terrain pose serious risks.

🌊 Stay away from rivers, streams, and vulnerable slopes to avoid the risk of flash floods or sudden landslides.

🎒 Carry emergency supplies like dry food, drinking water, warm clothing, medications, torchlight, and a power bank.

📍 Inform loved ones about your travel route and expected check-ins—especially when heading to remote or interior regions.

🛣️ Anticipate delays, diversions, and blocked routes. Keep your plans flexible and allow for buffer time.

🚨 Kedarnath Yatra Update – June 26, 2025 🚨

Due to continuous heavy rainfall in the region, massive landslides have disrupted the Kedarnath Yatra once again. The route between Sonprayag and Munkatiya has been severely affected, with falling debris and blocked paths.

🧍‍♂️ 1,269 pilgrims have been safely rescued by SDRF, NDRF & local authorities. The rescue teams are working tirelessly to clear the route and ensure everyone’s safety.

⚠️ Fresh rockfalls continue to occur, especially in exposed areas like Kakra Gad. Authorities are urging yatris to:
✅ Travel only in daylight
✅ Avoid glacier zones or risky shortcuts
✅ Stay connected with local rescue teams
✅ Follow official advisories and updates

Meanwhile, the Badrinath highway near Govindghat is also blocked due to falling boulders. Road clearance is ongoing.

🙏 Stay safe and alert, fellow yatris. Let’s cooperate with the authorities and avoid unnecessary risks during this sacred journey.
