Have always done politics of harmony, tried to connect people - Ramesh Saxena
Regarding the current political scenario, former Sehore MLA and Congress leader Ramesh Saxena, who has been active in politics for almost five decades now, said that I have always done politics of harmony, tried to connect people, my supporters and allies are people of every caste and religion.
When I contested the elections for the first time, I had given a slogan that ‘Ram Rahim ki nikli sena, jeetega Ramesh Saxena.’ No one was averse to this slogan; at that time Muslims had no problem in taking the name of Ram and Hindu friends also used to raise the same slogan. But today a lot has changed in politics. The personal interests of the people are now dominating more; the subjects of social concern are left behind. Some people are trying to divide people for political gains and are sowing the seeds of hatred in the minds of people. But all this does not last long, the public understands everything. Earlier this type of politics was not there.
Saxena, who has served the people of Sehore for four times consecutively as MLA said that I have always taken everyone along. The purpose of my entry into politics was social service. I have always been raising public problems. And this effort will continue even further. In these efforts of mine, the public has also stood shoulder to shoulder with me.
It is noteworthy that Ramesh Saxena was selected as an independent MLA for the first time in 1993. Later he got an MLA ticket from BJP and won elections three times in a row in 1998, 2003 and 2008.
