CJP Team Allegedly Attacked by BJP Workers During Audit of ‘Buffalo Shed’ School in Rajasthan
JAIPUR — High tension erupted in Rajasthan's Jaipur district after members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) were allegedly assaulted and chased away while attempting to inspect a government school in Rampura Kanwarpura village. The school has reportedly been operating out of a makeshift buffalo shed after the original building was declared structurally unsafe.

The Campaign: The inspection was part of the CJP’s nationwide ‘School Thik Karo’ (Fix Our Schools) campaign launched to highlight infrastructural deficits in state-run schools.
The Confrontation: When the delegation, led by CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka, arrived at the village in the Bagru constituency, a mob blocked their route, pelted stones, damaged vehicles, and engaged in physical altercations.
Casualties & Damage: CJP members reported torn clothes, shattered car windshields, and injuries to several volunteers, including one member who sustained a fractured arm.
Allegations and Political Fallout
CJP Leadership: CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka alleged that the attack was pre-planned by "BJP goons" at the behest of state authorities to suppress scrutiny of dilapidated school infrastructure. Ranka accused the state administration of being "fine with children studying in buffalo stables" while using violence against those trying to expose it.
Criticism of Law Enforcement: The CJP accused the Rajasthan Police of standing by as "mute spectators" during the violence and gave a 48-hour ultimatum for the arrest of those responsible.
Ruling BJP's Response: The BJP dismissed the CJP's allegations, rejecting claims that party cadres were behind the altercation, while local party representatives dismissed the CJP’s visits as political stunts.
Opposition Reaction: Rajasthan Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully condemned the violence, stating that democratic scrutiny of government school conditions must not be met with force.
