The Battle of Khanwa
Date: Saturday , March 16, 1527
Combatants: Rana Sanga and Babur
Speciality: Babur declared this battle a " Jihad" . After winning this battle ,he adopted the title of " Ghazi" for the first time. The battle lasted for 20 hours.
An Astrologer from Kabul , Mohammad Sharief , predicted that Babur would lose the battle. Therefore , Babur prepared a strong speech to address his soldiers .
According to him, " If a man takes up a task, he should make it his ultimate goal and remain devoted to it until it is completed ". Babur remarked, " Victory is that beautiful Woman whose flowing locks have been adorned by Allah.

During the medieval period , a saying was prevalent ; " UTTAM KHETI , MADHYAMBAAN , ADHAMCHAKRI BHIK NIDAN" means
Cultivation is the best occupation, trade is middling , service is demeaning and begging is the last resort.

( means , when the chariot of Revolution is stopped , and mass settles on thoughts, then understand that the generation has lost ,the eastern wind has been defeated by the western wind .

نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا:
“خراسان کی طرف سے ایک قوم آئے گی جن کے ہاتھ میں سیاہ جھنڈے ہوں گے۔ وہ اس طرح آگے بڑھیں گے کہ کوئی ان کو روک نہیں سکے گا، یہاں تک کہ وہ بیت المقدس پہنچ جائیں گے اور وہاں خلافتِ اسلامیہ قائم کریں گے۔”

ایک اور حدیث میں ہے:
“جب تم خراسان کی طرف سے سیاہ جھنڈے آتے دیکھو تو اُن کے ساتھ شامل ہو جاؤ، چاہے تمہیں برف پر گھسٹتے ہوئے جانا پڑے، کیونکہ ان میں اللہ کا خلیفہ، مہدی، ہوگا۔
