SHRI MUSHTAQ AHMAD CHOWDHARY-JKPS ASSUMES CHARGE AS SSP Shopian

October 10: Shri. Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhary-JKPS today assumed charge as Senior Superintendent of Police, District Shopian.

On his arrival, the incumbent officer was warmly recieved by senior Police officers of the District and Guard of honour was also presented at District Police Headquarters DPO Shopian. The outgoing SSP Shri Anayat Ali Chowdhary-IPS handed over the Baton to the incumbent officer in a brief but impressive function.

On assuming the charge, the incumbent officer held introductory meeting with Senior Police officers of the District and impressed upon officers to work with dedication and enthusiasm to mitigate problems faced by the people of Shopian. He also stressed the need for a team work and has directed officers to have their doors open for the general public.

Mughal Road Advisory.

Subject to fair weather and clearance from the road maintenance agencies (GREF), LMVs (Passenger/Private Cars) shall be allowed to ply on Mughal Road from both directions (Jammu ↔ Srinagar via Poonch).

Timings:

From Behramgala (Baffliaz): 0600–1730 hrs

From Herpora (Shopian): 0600–1700 hrs

Only six-tyre HMVs carrying essential commodities will be permitted from Poonch → Shopian.

❌ No HMVs allowed after 0900 hrs from Akhnoor Naka.
