Inspiring Leadership
The ones that become true leaders are those who can inspire others to make a change. The ones that become true leaders are those who put in the effort when no one is looking. The ones that truly become leader and those that sacrifice when they don’t have to. The ones that become true leaders are those that serve in their gifting and become a slave to it.
Jesus said to his disciples “He that wants to become the heads must first become the servant”. That made zero sense to me! Become a servant? I know many servants, they are not leadership material!
I could never wrap my head around this statement Jesus made, until I heard a preaching my the late Myles Monroe. Jesus was talking about your gifting. Everyone is born with a gift: it could be singing, dealing with people, playing music, sports, encouraging, teaching.
However, unless you become a servant to your gift, literally a slave to what God has endowed you with, you will not succeed. Unless you slave at become a better singer, day in and day out, unless you sacrifice your sleep, your entertainment, your time, blood, sweat and tears so that you can become the best at what you’re gifted in, unless you serve the world with your gift, you will not succeed. The great leaders in the world, whether I sports, business, entertainment or politics only came to where they are because they first became the servant.
The words of Jesus: powerful and deep! A true Leader, one that is followed and worshipped even more than 2000 years after His death on the cross and RESURRECTION FROM THE GRAVE.
Lead by example and ignite change.
