Inter-School zonal level Kho-Kho Competitions Culminate at M/S Jageer Sogam

The inter-school zonal level Kho-Kho competitions for Girls organized by the Zonal Physical Education Office Sogam, successfully culminated at M/S Jageer Sogam. This event was a significant step in promoting sports within the Sogam zone, aligning with the Department of Youth Services & Sports' mission to foster athletic excellence across various disciplines.
Over the course of four days, students from multiple schools participated in intense Kho-Kho matches, showcasing their skills and competitive spirit. The day was dedicated to the girls competitions across all age categories.
In the Under-14 category, UPS Sheikhpora Lalpora emerged victorious, clinching the winner's trophy after a thrilling final against UPS Hayatpora. In the Under-17 category, BHS Chandigam secured the championship by defeating *GHSS Sogam* in a closely contested match.in u/19 winner GHSS Sogam.
The event not only highlighted the talent and enthusiasm of young athletes in the region but also reinforced the importance of sports as a key element of youth development. The Department of Youth Services & Sports/ Zonal Physical Education Office Sogam, remains committed to nurturing and encouraging sportsmanship and athletic talent among students.

Department of Youth Services & Sports Zone Sogam Kick Starts the inter school Zonal Level, Kho-Kho Competitions at M/S Jageer Sogam.
Today on 17 June 2025
In an endeavor to promote sports in zone sogam, *the Zonal Physical Education Officer sogam Mr.Fayaz Ahmad Tantary, Convenor Mr. Mohd Shafi Mir PEM BHSS Lalpora, Incharge Activity Mr. G.A.Wani and all Officials* successfully conducted Inter-School Kho- Kho Competitions for Boys of under 14 age group today at M/S Jageer Sogam.
*The event was inaugurated by worthy Zoanl palaning education officer (ZPEO) Mr. Nazir Ahmad Malik Sab & HOI's of PCO Lassipora M/S Jageer Sogam deliver the encroaching speech of participants.*
The Department of Youth Services & Sports is committed to fostering a vibrant sports culture across the Union Territory. By organizing events like these, the department aims to provide a robust platform for students to showcase their talent and enthusiasm for sports.
A significant number of participants from various institutions competed in age group of Under-14. The event witnessed a spirited display of athleticism and sportsmanship, with students eagerly participating and enjoying the game of Kho-Kho. In *M/S Gundimancher is the Winners-Up and BMS Dorus is Runners-up the said event.*
The event was a testament to the growing interest in sports among the youth and highlighted the department's dedication to nurturing young talent.
