Important Concern for Students Traveling from Banihal to Jammu
We would like to bring to your attention a serious issue faced by students who are traveling from Banihal to Jammu for their college and university exams. The drivers are charging Rs. 1200 per person for this route, while the fare from Jammu to Banihal is only Rs. 400–500, despite the distance being the same.
This clear overcharging seems to be targeting students specifically, especially when the drivers know they are in a hurry due to exams. This is a form of exploitation and causes unnecessary stress and financial burden to students and their families.
We request the concerned authorities to investigate this issue immediately, regulate the fares, and take strict action against such unfair practices. Students already deal with academic pressure, and such exploitation makes things worse.
We urge for fair treatment and proper transport regulation.
