Awareness Session on National Cybercrime Reporting Portal
on spreading awareness about the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal, PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Temi, organized an informative awareness session for students and staff.
The session aimed to help everyone understand the importance of staying safe in the digital world and how to report any form of cybercrime easily and responsibly.
The key goal of the program was to create awareness about the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal — www.cybercrime.gov.in — and the helpline number 1930, so that students, teachers, and community members know how and where to seek help in case of online fraud, cyberbullying, or misuse of digital platforms.
The session was conducted by Mr. Abinash Pradhan (ICT Trainer) and Mr. Binod Pradhan (IT Trainer), who shared valuable insights on various types of cybercrimes and practical ways to stay protected online.
They demonstrated the step-by-step process of registering a complaint on the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal and explained the role of the helpline number 1930 in reporting online financial scams.
Through real-life examples and short videos, students learned about the importance of strong passwords, not sharing personal details online, and being careful about what they click or download.
The trainers also encouraged students to be responsible digital citizens and to help spread awareness among friends and family members.
Students from Classes IX to XII, along with teachers and non-teaching staff, actively participated in the program. The session was interactive, and students eagerly asked questions and shared their own online experiences, making the discussion lively and engaging.
The awareness session proved to be very informative and meaningful. It helped students and staff understand the seriousness of cyber threats and the importance of reporting them promptly.
The school is committed to continuing such awareness programs in the future to ensure that all students become digitally responsible and cyber-aware citizens.
