Ruheena Shahzad expresses grief over the loss of life in Doda road accident


Srinagar: Senior BJP Leader and Central Observation Group trust Chairperson Ruheena Shahzad today expressed concern over the tragic road in which five people lost their lives in a road mishap in Doda.
As per a press release, Ruheena Shahzad extended her solidarity with the bereaved family members, who lost their loved ones in the road accident in Doda.
Atleast five people have reportedly lost their lives, and more than 14 injured when a tempo traveller driver lost control, and the vehicle turned turtle into a gorge.
“I am deeply saddened by the road mishap,” said Ruheena Shahzad, praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul, and courage to the bereaved family members.
She demanded that the Govt shall give ex-gratia compensation to the next of the kins of the deceased persons, and free medical care for the injured persons.

Avoid visiting or crossing riverbanks, streams, and nallahs. Rising water levels may result in sudden flash floods, posing serious danger to life.

🔸 2. Travel Advisory – Mughal Road
Landslides and slippery surfaces are likely due to ongoing rain. Travel on Mughal Road only if absolutely necessary. Stay updated through official traffic and administration channels.

🔸 3. Emergency Services on High Alert
Teams from SDRF, Police, and local administration are on standby for rescue and relief. Report any emergencies or obstructions without delay.

🔸 4. General Public Precautions
Residents in low-lying or landslide-prone areas should remain especially vigilant. Parents are strongly advised to keep children indoors and away from flooded or muddy zones.
