Awantipora Police solves theft case within 12 hours
Accused arrested, stolen Diesel recovered

Awantipora 01 June 2025:

Police Awantipora solved a theft case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime and have recovered stolen Diesel.

Police Station Pampore received a complaint from one person namely Mohammed Younis Shah resident of Khankahbagh Pampore that on 31 may 2025 some unknown thieves have stolen diesel from a vehicle Truck bearing registration number JK13F-3017 which was parked outside the house of the complainant.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 65 /2025 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Pampore and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation Police team under the supervision of SHO PS Pampore Dy.SP (p) Shri Shravan Singh by taking assistance of modern techniques including collection of CCTV footages of various locations learnt about the involvement of two accused persons identified as:

1) Happy Kumar S/o Devindar Kumar R/o Bada Dowlatpora Pathankot Punjab
2) Lucky Kumar S/o Devindar KumarR/o Bada Dowlatpora Pathankot Punjab

Accordingly, during investigation both accused persons were arrested and brought to Police Station Pampore where they remain in custody. 137 liters of Diesel was also recovered from the accused.

Further investigation of the case is going on.

The female falcon was equipped with a GPS tracker during its journey from South Africa to Finland, covering about 230 km per day.

It walked in a straight line across the African lands until it reached the desert in the north, then headed towards the path of the Nile River over Sudan and Egypt, then avoided flying over the Mediterranean Sea.

It crossed over Syria and Lebanon, and also avoided flying over the Black Sea, because if it got thirsty, it would not be able to drink from it. It continued in a straight line and reached Finland after 42 days.

The incident happened when the two Major-rank officers, who were undergoing training at Army War College in the district's Mhow Cantonment, went out for a picnic along with two female friends in the Jam Gate area, When the group reached the area, six men, armed with pistols, knives, and sticks, surrounded their car. Police foils illegal trade of counterfeit Gold Biscuits in Kupwara; 03 arrested

September 12: In a major breakthrough, Police in Kupwara successfully busted an illegal trade of counterfeit gold biscuits and arrested three accused persons involved in the commission of crime.

Acting on a tip-off, Police Station Lalpora launched a swift operation. leading to the arrest of three individuals suspected of being involved in the illicit trade. The arrested individuals have been identified as Bashir Ahmad Khan son of Fazal Rehman Khan, Rayaz Ahmad War son of Mohd Taseen War and Noor Mohd Lohar son of Rehmatullah Lohar, all residents of Dever Lolab, Kupwara.

During questioning, the suspected individuals confessed their involvement in the counterfeit gold trade. The police successfully recovered 153 counterfeit gold biscuits from their possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 61/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Lalpora. Further arrests are expected as the investigation is in progresses.
