|| National Lok Adalat Convenes in Pampore, Resolves 29 Cases Amicably
Pampore, Pulwama—The Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Pampore, under the guidance of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Pulwama, successfully convened a National Lok Adalat on September 13, 2025, at the Munsiff Court Pampore. The event aimed to provide swift and amicable resolution to various disputes, and it proved to be a significant success.
The proceedings of the adalat were conducted by Bench No. 05, presided over by Ms. Uzma Amin, who serves as the Munsiff and Chairperson of the TLSC Pampore. She was joined by Bench Member, Adv. Aijaz Ahmad Khan.
A total of 50 cases were listed before the bench. Through dedicated mediation and negotiation, 29 of these cases were resolved amicably, leading to a total settlement amount of Rs. 3,15,250. This highlights the effectiveness of the Lok Adalat system in reducing the burden on conventional courts and providing timely justice to the public.
The successful resolution of cases was also facilitated by the role of the Prosecuting Officer, Pampore, Noveed Sarwer Khan.
The National Lok Adalat demonstrates the commitment of the legal services authorities to promote alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and make justice accessible to all citizens.
