🚨 Serious Concern: Non-Availability of Cooking Gas in Brein Area 🚨
Residents of Brein area are facing severe hardship due to the non-availability of cooking gas for the past 28 days. Despite booking refills online through Indane (Indian Oil Gas Company), consumers receive OTP confirmations on their registered mobile numbers. However, shockingly, within 2 days, the status shows “Delivered” — even though no gas cylinder is actually delivered.
This raises serious questions: 👉 Where are these gas refills going?
👉 Why are false delivery updates being shown?
👉 Is there black marketing happening at the cost of common people?
The concerned agency, New Paradise Gas Agency Khonakhan Dalgate, has failed to provide timely and genuine service, leaving families struggling — even during important occasions.
While the government claims adequate bulk stock of LPG, the ground reality is completely different. People are suffering daily due to this negligence.
⚠️ We urge the J&K Government and concerned authorities to: ✔️ Immediately investigate this issue
✔️ Ensure proper delivery of booked gas refills
✔️ Take strict action against the agencies involved
Enough is enough. Basic necessities like cooking gas should not become a daily struggle.

💡 Public Grievance | Brein Area, Srinagar

It is deeply unfortunate and shameful that despite repeated pleas, , Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), and KPDCL have failed to repair the defunct street lights in the Brein area.

Duplicate and substandard materials have been used in these installations — a direct misuse of taxpayers’ money. The technical team of EESL itself admits these lights belong to the same company, yet they claim they “cannot repair them.” This raises serious doubts about the quality, procurement, and supervision of the entire project.

In addition, duplicate wires have been used in high-mast poles, and several poles still stand without lights. It is alarming that despite such blatant irregularities, a “work done” certificate has allegedly been issued by the concerned engineer of the J&K Electrical Department and some poles are still without lights.

This calls for an immediate and independent probe by JKACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K) to uncover how public money has been misused in the name of public lighting. Those engineers or officials involved in this loot and gross negligence must be held accountable and booked under law.

I strongly urge the Hon’ble Government of Jammu & Kashmir to issue urgent directions for a full-scale investigation and replacement of all defective and substandard street lights in the Brein area.

Public safety, transparency, and accountability cannot be compromised. ⚠️

A Matter of Shame for JKLCMA

It is deeply unfortunate and highly shameful that the Sewerage Drain Pipe in Wani Mohalla Brein has remained blocked for the last 20 days, despite the matter already being in the notice of the Worthy Vice Chairman JKLCMA. Shockingly, the Vice Chairman himself has expressed helplessness, citing non-availability of fuel for unblocking vehicles.

Crores of rupees have already been spent by JKLCMA on Sewerage Treatment Plants around Dal Lake under the banner of “saving the Dal,” but the ground reality tells a different story. At several locations, untreated sewerage water continues to flow directly into Dal Lake — a complete wastage of public money.

The situation in Wani Mohalla Brein has become unbearable. Many households are facing serious difficulties due to this prolonged blockage, yet the engineers of Division 2nd JKLCMA remain confined to their offices, drawing salaries without carrying out any fieldwork.

This negligence is an insult to both public trust and environmental commitments. I humbly request Hon’ble LG / CM Sahib to intervene personally and issue necessary directions so that this long-pending and pressing issue is resolved at the earliest.

JKLCMA must be held accountable.

📢 Public Grievance Post – Appeal to Authorities

Hon’ble CM J&K,
Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation,
Executive Engineer, City Roads Division (Sub Division Khanyar),

It is deeply unfortunate and shameful that the lanes of New Colony Sheikh Mohalla Brein, Srinagar continue to remain in such miserable condition despite decades of promises by successive governments. The attached pictures (dated 13/08/2025) clearly reflect the ground reality – broken, uneven, and unsafe lanes that have been completely ignored for years.

➡️ Fact remains: VIP roads and influence-driven localities get macadamized every year or two, while common residential lanes like ours are forgotten for decades.
➡️ During rains, these lanes turn into pools of water and become unusable for pedestrians, students, and elderly citizens.
➡️ We pay taxes as responsible citizens – yet our fundamental right to safe mobility is continuously denied.

This is not just negligence; it is a violation of the principle of equal treatment in public works. If these lanes were used by Ministers, Bureaucrats, or Influential People, they would have been repaired long ago.

We urge and demand immediate redressal, fair allocation of development works, and macadamization of these ignored lanes without further delay. It is the constitutional duty of the government to provide basic infrastructure to all, not just to a privileged few.

🛑 We request the Hon’ble CM and concerned authorities to personally intervene and ensure justice is delivered to the ignored citizens of Brein.

💢 A Concerned Voice for Accountability at J&K Bank, Business Unit Brein 💢

It is both disheartening and shocking to witness the slow deterioration of once one of the leading business units of J&K Bank – Business Unit Brein. This branch, which was once known for its efficiency, customer care, and robust service delivery, is now struggling due to serious staff mismanagement and lack of balanced workforce planning.

Out of a total 16 staff members, only 5 are male employees, and even among them:

2 are peons,
1 is the Branch Head,
1 is a cashier, and
1 is a banking associate.
With this skewed structure, the branch has become dysfunctional in handling pressure, managing queues, and providing the kind of financial services expected by the loyal customer base it has served for years.

🔴 I humbly request the J&K Bank authorities to kindly consider the removal of these 5 remaining male staff members as well and officially rename this branch as a "Special Woman Branch" – if that is indeed the direction intended.

This is not just a criticism – it is a wake-up call. Customers of Brein branch deserve professionalism, accountability, and balanced staffing – not political experimentation or symbolic representation at the cost of service quality.
