“𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙄𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣?” — 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙩 𝙈𝙇𝘼 𝙏𝙖𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧 𝙎𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙦 𝙤𝙣 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣

During the foundation stone laying ceremony at Khan Bagh and Sikh Bagh Sports Stadiums, local resident Mohammad Issac took the opportunity to raise several critical civic issues of Lal Bazaar directly with Tanvir Sadiq.

Issac: “𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨-𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘓𝘢𝘭 𝘉𝘢𝘻𝘢𝘢𝘳? 𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 — 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴?”

MLA: “The fire station has already been allotted, but the land for its construction has not yet been allocated. We are actively searching for a suitable location.”

Issac: “𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘺? 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵?”

MLA: “That land belongs to the Housing Department, and they are currently not willing to transfer it for the fire station. Until they agree, we need to find another site.”

Issac: “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘏𝘊 𝘓𝘢𝘭 𝘉𝘢𝘻𝘢𝘢𝘳 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 24×7 — 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥. 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥-𝘵𝘩𝘦-𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺?”

MLA: “For that to happen, the PHC must first be upgraded to an SHC, and we need additional machinery and medical staff. This will take some time and coordination with concerned departments.”

Issac: “𝘌𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘴, 𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥?”

MLA: “Yes, that issue will also be taken up. We’ll ensure those obstructions are removed.”

Monday, 20th October 25: Tanvir Sadiq on Monday visited Khan Bagh Sports Stadium and Sikh Bagh Sports Stadium, where he laid the foundation stone for the upgradation of the Shaheed-e-Milat Sports Stadium.

The development project, estimated at a cost of ₹80.46 lakh, aims to significantly improve sports infrastructure in the area, providing modern facilities and a better sporting environment for young athletes and the local community.

Speaking at the event, Tanvir Sadiq highlighted the importance of investing in sports infrastructure to encourage youth participation, nurture local talent, and promote a culture of fitness and healthy living.

Local residents, sports enthusiasts, and youth from surrounding areas welcomed the initiative, expressing hope that the upgraded stadiums will create new opportunities and boost community engagement through sports.

Lal Bazaar, Oct 04: The annual function of LP High School, Botakadal Arampora, Lal Bazaar was held today with great enthusiasm, showcasing the confidence and talent of young students.

MLA Tanvir Sadiq was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he spoke about the growing concern of social media addiction among youth. “While social media has many advantages and connects us to the world, its misuse can distract and harm young minds. It is important that we use it responsibly and wisely,” he said.

The MLA expressed satisfaction that students were already aware of these challenges and were actively spreading awareness among their peers.

He also took the opportunity to appreciate the teachers and management of the school for producing remarkable results despite limited resources. He extended gratitude to the parents for continuously supporting their children and encouraging them to explore their talents.

The function concluded with MLA Tanvir Sadiq urging the community to work together in helping children dream big and shape a responsible future.

Lal Bazaar, Oct 2: It is with deep sorrow that the passing away of Raqib Hussain Tinda (15 years), son of Mr. Fida Hussain Tinda, resident of Gulshan Bagh, Bota Kadal, is announced.

The demise of this young soul at such a tender age has brought immense grief and sorrow to his family, relatives, and the entire community. His untimely departure has deprived his loved ones of the joy of watching him grow into the prime of life.

May the Almighty grant the departed soul eternal peace and bestow patience, courage, and strength upon the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Lal Bazaar, 26th Sept 2025: To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Police Station Lal Bazar organized a spirited “Run for Unity” event on Monday, celebrating the values of national integration and harmony.

The run witnessed active participation from school children of the area, who showcased both enthusiasm and sportsmanship. LP School Lal Bazar clinched the First Position, while Akmal Public School Lal Bazar secured the Second and Third Positions.

The initiative not only honoured the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India, but also highlighted the role of youth in carrying forward his vision of a united and strong nation.

Community members lauded the efforts of Lal Bazar Police for promoting fitness, discipline, and unity among the younger generation through such activities.

Lal Bazaar, 22nd Sept: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Sunday carried out a sanitation drive in Lal Bazar, Ward 59.

The drive focused on several lanes and public spaces across the ward, aiming to raise sanitation standards and promote hygiene in the locality. Sanitation teams undertook sweeping, waste collection, w**d cutting and awareness activities during the drive.

Speaking on the occasion, an SMC official said, “Sanitation is not a one-day effort but a collective responsibility. Through such drives, we want to encourage citizens of Lal Bazar to actively participate in keeping their surroundings neat and hygienic.”

Local residents also welcomed the step, noting that regular sanitation initiatives are crucial for the health and well-being of the community.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Sports Minister Satish Sharma and MLA Tanvir Sadiq, who presented awards to the stakeholders and lauded the organisers for their efforts in nurturing sports culture in the region.

On the occasion, Coach Altaf Makhdoomi also presented a formal letter to the Sports Minister, requesting the allotment of various resources for the development of local sports infrastructure.

In a major announcement, the dignitaries declared that an amount of ₹80 lakh has been sanctioned for fencing and other upgradation works at the stadium, aimed at providing improved facilities for athletes and the community.
