ब्राह्मणों के मोहल्ले में एक यादव जी रहते थे

जो रोजाना चिकन बना कर खाते थे चिकन की खुशबू से परेशान होकर पंडितों ने महंत (मंदिर के बड़े पुजारी) से शिकायत कि

महंत ने यादव जी को कहा कि आप भी ब्राह्मण धर्म अपना लो जिससे किसी को आप से कोई शिकायत ना हो

यादव जी मान गए...
तो महंत ने यादव जी पर गंगाजल छिड़कते हुए संस्कृत में कहा कि तुम पैदा अहीर हुए थे पर अब तुम ब्राम्हण हो

अगले दिन फिर यादव जी के घर से चिकन की खुशबू आई

तो सब पंडितों ने फिर महन्त से शिकायत की

अब महंत पंडितों को लेकर यादव जी के घर गए तो देखा यादव जी चिकन पर गंगाजल छिड़क रहे थे

और कह रहे थे... तुम पैदा तो मुर्गा हुए थे, पर अब तुम आलू हो...!!
