RUN FOR VANDE MATARAM
A Youth Marathon titled “Run for Vande Mataram” was held today to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram, the National Song of India. The event was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the directions of the Worthy Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla, and was flagged off by the Worthy SDM, Gulmarg.
Students from various institutions across the Sub-Division Gulmarg participated with immense enthusiasm, reflecting their patriotic fervour, unity, and love for the nation. The marathon commenced from the Tangmarg Sports Ground, with the surroundings echoing with slogans of national pride and youthful energy.
Officials from different departments, teachers, and local residents extended their full support and encouragement to the participants along the route. The event successfully emphasized the vital role of youth in fostering national unity, discipline, and collective pride, making it a memorable celebration of patriotism and community spirit.
Mr. Gh. Nabi Reshi expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, officials, and supporters for their active involvement in making the “Run for Vande Mataram” marathon a grand success. He appreciated the enthusiasm, discipline, and patriotic spirit shown by the youth, emphasizing their crucial role in fostering unity and national pride.
