Zero LOC Suchetgarh border post, located near R.S. Pura in Jammu, holds historical significance as a pre-partition railway link between Jammu and Sialkot. Once an octroi post, it now serves as a key border crossing and a growing tourist destination.
The "Beating Retreat" ceremony, similar to the Wagah border, showcases military precision and patriotism, drawing visitors to witness the spectacle. The post also features the Amar Prahari Sthal, a memorial honoring fallen BSF soldiers, and a museum displaying historical photographs and stories of gallantry.
Despite recent temporary closures due to security concerns, Suchetgarh is being developed to enhance tourism, offering a unique glimpse into the border

The Border Security Force (BSF) conducts a structured parade, including high-energy drills and a ceremonial flag-lowering.
